Total score in logbook
-
My consecutive was broken the other night after a partially successful mission. Started thinking it might be recording “consecutive successful missions”.
-
Hi guys,
As we are on the subject: can anyone explain the logbook to me?
What is the"Ace factor"?
What is the difference between “Total score” and “Last mis pts”?
What do the 3 numbers after Campaign mean? 0/0/0
How are the “Rating” and the “Kill ratio” calculated?I short: when R U considered to be “good pilot”?
Thx
-
On the piece of logbook you can see that I’ve just a total score of 26 but I’m already 1st Lt.
All mission are recorded for score ? campaign and TE ? single flight and MP ? -
Correct me if I’m wrong.
Ace Factor = Last Mission Points divided by Missions
Consecutives are fubar always have been from day one Falcon 4.0. You get tagged for a bogus online kill for no apparent reason, I got one the other day. The only way to get the Consecutive madal is to back up you logbook and replace it when the consecutives are set to zero for no reason.
Total score is the score for your next promotion.
IIRC, my AFC’s took 6 AA kills and over 35 Ground kills give or take on Ace and landed jet.
-
Ace Factor = Last Mission Points divided by Missions
I think this is wrong, with my last example it’s
campaign-> rating = Last Mission Points divided by Missions (3.375 = 108 / 32) -
Ace Factor is a rank of dogfight online, I dont know how the maths are
-
Sorry guys, I meant rating = Last Mission Points divided by Missions
-
How are the medal points calculated? I mean, is a T-90 more medal points worth than a T-34 and a Mig-29 is more worth than a Mig-19? Or is the calculation simple based on the numbers of shot down aircrafts or destroyed ground forces (regardless their types)?

Has anyone ever achieved the rank of General? Before you say it does not exist, I beg to differ. I think it is hidden, I just have no idea on how to get it.
A couple years ago, like someone already mentioned here, I use the logeditor to edit when I lose flight hours due to CTDs, or consec missions when I lose them from stupid reasons? Anyway… While doing this I fired up Falcon, and achieved the rank of general, as there was a star and it said rank of General. As I knew this was an error, I redited my rank to Col, and still to date have not achieved general rank. And this is the same logbook from 1998 with thousands of hours, missions, kills, tons of medals, and tons of won campaigns with no losses. I just cannot seem to get this rank back??

Hello,
For those who understand French, a document explaining score/ranks.
Thank you to the author (I don’t know who is) -
musashi78, thank you for the link! It seems the medal points are quite complicated calculated…

Yes I achieved General the other day, funny you should mention it. I got the blue handshake screen that said Brig. General. However my logbook put me back to Lt. Col from Col. It seems to be fubar.

Its an old bug that goes back to the original Falcon 4.0. It gives you an arbitrary self kill/online kill every so often for no reason. The only way to get the Consec medal is to save your logbook and back it up every time this happens.

I don´t want to be a general, the generals fly desks and I don´t like this plane
-
Not true… General Hornier (Spelling) back in the day while commanding the USAF had his own personal Viper he would fly and really hyped up the Vipers during OPDS.

DEGREES AND MEDALS IN FALCON
4.0 ALLIED FORCE
How to acquire a higher grade:
In each mission, you win or lose a certain number of points that come in addition to points already acquired in previous missions. When the total of these point exceeds a certain threshold, you pass to the next grade. This is how points are calculated at the end of each mission:
Driver status:
OK - 5
Rescued - 5
MIA -15
KIA -25
FRIENDLY-KILL -200Device status:
DAMAGED -5
OK - 5
DESTROYED -50For each missile or bomb dropped: -1
For each gunnery: -0.2
For each impact target of a bomb or missile: 4
For each cannon shot that impacts a target: 4
For each cannon shot that misses its target: -0.2
For every bomb or missile that has no impact on target: -6And here are the totals by grade points needed to achieve:
150 points = 1st Lieutenant
300 points = Captain
800 pts + 1 = Major campaign is over
1600 pts + 1 campaign has not been lost (or gained zero) = Lt. Col.
3200 pts + 1 = campaign won ColonelHow to acquire new medals:
After each mission, the code calculates your total acquisition related possibility of a new grade, then the code is run on medals.
First factor: Mission Complexity. This factor is based on the flight, the fired ammunition, the number of missiles fired at you by the enemy, and the number
devices in your package. A value between 0 and 6 is derived.Second factor: Campaign Difficulty. This factor is based on the Ground Campaign Ratio, the ratio Campaign Air Force, the Air Defense Ratio Campaign, the Campaign
Naval Force Ratio, the Enemy Skill Pilot, and the Enemy ADA skill. That is to say Difficulty setting of the campaign, in short. A value between 0 and 20 is derived.Other factors that are considered are:
Main target destroyed
Aircraft landed
Wingers lost
Naval units destroyed
Destroyed objects
Ground units destroyedFor every coin, so you should have acquired x mission points, points x medal, and satisfy a certain level of realism (the value “realism” in the
Falcon setup).Points depend on the mission Mission Complexity: 0 to 6.
Points depend on the campaign Campaign Difficuty: between 0 and 20.Medal points are calculated by multiplying the level of realism by Difficulty Campaign, the Mission Score (between 1 and 5), and Mission Complexity.
This is what is required for each coin:
AIR FORCE CROSS: 9600 medal point, realism level of 90 or more. 4 points or mission more.
SILVER STAR: 7800 medal points, level 70 or more realism. Mission 4 points or more.
DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS: 6000 medal points, level 50 or greater realism. Mission 4 points or more.
AIR MEDAL: 4800 medal points, level 50 or greater realism. Mission 4 points or more.
