IDM assignment query

In my 1st campaign mission in about 10 years….i’m stuck on how to get the flight addresses of the other leads in my package.
Other flights are spade 7, prowler 7 and me (jaguar 7).
Do i just add 11, 21, 31 and hope its them? There were a lot of friendly aircraft buzzing about.

IDM are called on UHF. Each package has its UHF (first flight UHF). IDM are attributed by the order of the flights.
-
IDM numbers aren’t shown anywhere in the briefing UI, so do I assume I’m always 11, next flight lead 21, then 31, etc ? ( and wingman 12, 22, 32, etc?)
-
Look at the flights in the briefing. The IDM numbers are assigned in order of the flights listed. If you are the second flight in the package then your numbers will start with 2. If you are the third flight then your number starts with 3. The numbers are not assigned relative to take off times.

Ah, i remember reading that in one of the manuals i think. Makes sense. Cheers

Package means several flights. Do you mean flight?

Yes. When you enter the flight numbers into the DED DLINK page, only put their respective numbers in.
I had a similar situation a few days ago.
Flight 1 - Strike (not me) 11-14
Flight 2 - SEAD 21-22
Flight 3 - Strike (Me) 31-32
Flight 4 - Escort 41-44I too only wanted my flight and the escort to show on my HSD so in the DED I put 31, 32 and 41-44 on the DLINK page. Really, as long as the ships you want to monitor are in your package, you can enter any combination of them up to 8 max, of course. Most of the time I put my entire flight in there and then just the leads of the other flights to keep down on clutter. In my case a few days back, I wanted all the aircraft in the escort flight to show since it was a high A-A threat environment and needed to know what they were doing.
