Kuwait Theater tester version 2 (434U1)
-
The Omani Peninsula is a very mountainous area.
-
I see.
Also I’m seeing that high attention of yours to details - and this theater map is increasing.
Keep on this way, dear friend Goro! Let’s hope we will get the opportunity of higher res. 2D maps and graphics in general soon. But also this way this theater is becoming a thing.
With best regards.

SpbGoro, do this mean that 128x128 segment re-scale is now going to be the future of this theater and it is not only a test?

At the moment, I have already spent too much time drawing the coastline, islands, mountainous terrain and partially installed some objects, towns, cities, villages, 1 Minhad Air Base (for F-16-40) and several Airstrips on the islands and UAE.
I suppose - it’s too late to return to the area of 64 segments.
At the same time, now the territory is huge and I do not know how long it takes to fill it
-
Oh, God… Yes. Jane’s F-15 flashbacks.
-
i started another campaign test to check if GUs can capture objs without human control.
GU objective are default Kuwait, Basrah ones, plus three new obj Al Bussariya, Al Salman, Ash Shabakah.test result : GUs can capture all kuwait and Basrah objs, and most Al Nassirya obj on Day 10. Though ground offensive target shifted to Al Bussariya, all GUs become totally static in following days… west front GUs won’t move north, East front wont move west… so no GU want to capture my new obj. ( by human control, GUs can move to capture all of them in 1-2 days).
i wonder if it’s GU Division-Brigade-Battalion setting bug? if GUs are not properly organized, the offensive order may not work right.
PS - in default campaign the target objs are kuwait and Basrah. whether you flying in 3d or not, the cam can be won by Blue, sooner or later. my last intensive 3d flying achieves victory on Day 4 1630.

i was testing the theater, i can’t enter 3D in TE or Campaing, the sim closes automatically

another 2d war test at 32x -64 x time compression.
i add two new obj Al nassiryah/ 332, 2371 , along with default kuwait and Basrah ones.
blue GUs can capture all of them and win the war on Day 8 1440.
PS - the west front GUs don’t move at all. the only solution could be deleting them and adding new, organized ones from scratch.

Have you deleted the folder with the old version of the theater and installed a new one from the archive?
After installation, you need to start a new campaign.
Old saves do not work with the new version. If the problem persists.
Try the Mikaa method: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?37874-Kuwait-Theater-tester-version-2-(434U1)/page19&p=543247#post543247Hi. I’m having the same problem. it crash and get me back to desktop. is it possible we have the oldest version. ?

for people have issues with last version be sure how to install :
1. Open the text file theater.lst which is found in your …\Falcon BMS 4\Data\Terrdata\theaterdefinition directory.
2. Add the line to the bottom of the list.
Add-On Kuwait\Terrdata\theaterdefinition\kuwait.tdf
3. Save the text file, start Falcon4 BMS 4, select Kuwait Theater from the list of available theaters.
cheers

Thanks for contributing to Dema!
I am now so much so amazed at version 128 of the segments that there is simply no time for the old version. -

so…no more update to 64 seg theater?
Forgive me, comrade, but the size of the 64 segments seems very narrow, probably in vain I tried it. Now there are 2 problems: 1) A huge area, 2) How beautiful it is to fill it up - close to reality.
While progress is somewhere in the Taif area
-
i see.
feel free to work on 128… a good mod for Iran-related operation!
BTW i hope Campaign-makers could create more campaigns for 64 seg Kuwait… it still has lots potential.
PPS - i add Bagdad city/136 to victory tri file, GUs won’t move to capture it… just remain static forever.

Thanks All who answered and replied me.My problem is solved.
I was updating U1,U2,U3 & U4 in a wrong way. So i was still in BMS 4.34 V0 at that time when Crash appears.
And after updating and having BMS 4.34V4 every thing worked and finally i got the Theater ON.
Cheers

@SpbGoro: Great work!
Although it’s a bit too far south for my taste, I would like to have the northern cities of Iraq for ODS, too. But then you get the problem that there should be flights from Turkey and so on…
But it will be great for an Iran scenario!
