Test low-poly toys in BMS4..

cc1tw I’m trying to add your FRS1 model from the Falklands LOD models to a 4.34 DB, but the editor crashes when I try and view the 3d model… I’m adding it as a new model in the DB, creating a new aircraft from a copy then assigning the model in the CT record as per the ‘adding new jets’ tutorial here https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?39584-Adding-model-planes-to-dB-tutorial&p=544411&viewfull=1#post544411
but then when I click on ‘View 3d’ the editor crashes.
Is it the FRS1 LOD thats failing? I’m using the downloads from the ccc lowpoly 20-0606 zip file
the error in the log is
“Object at RCX(00000000000493BD)
Data inaccessible” -
In order to test this thoroughly I’ve ran through it again on a fresh Israeli theatre DB, and it’s worked. I must have borked the DB previously! Carry on
-
glad you fix it yourself. time to back to Falkland?
-
Yes I was hoping to see how the new carrier ski jump worked, and maybe get more time working on the terrain tiles

Could you provide a log.txt in each release in order to know what’s the new stuff? Currently, I am trying to figure this out by checking the date mod in folders/files.
-
errr…i don’t used to create a log… the best way is indeed checking the date in folders/files.
but don’t worry, there won’t be new updates in near future as no cool subjects that interest me to make lods.
last zip.

Use free tool FreeFileSync, point to the 2 folders containing the old vs new stuff, and let it compare and report the changes.

Any rcommended aircraft .dat file for the great UAV’s included in the latest package. I see bunch of Turkish one’s as well that MALE, looking for a good profile for the db to utilize them
-
for small prop uav, use an2.dat.
for jet larger uav, use u2.dat. -
thanks ccc1tw!
