JFS switch unresponsive on some ramp starts - 4.34 U3
-
Typically because you close your canopy while trying to start the JFS.
Do not do thatThe manual has all the answers
-
Also … (safe habit to take now) Make sure you do not press brakes pedals. Use parking brake but NOT brake pedals while operating the JFS.

Do not do thatI swear not !
That’s the kind of mistake I did the 1st flights (this sim is really excellent ) , but I don’t do that now , i noticed it seemed to discharge my battery .
No brake either, I’m on ramp , the plane has already its parking brake set , ready to boot its engine .Really , I don’t understand : It just disappeared without explanation

Battery discharge is not implemented.

Not implemented yet on 4.34. It is only to give a hint for the future.

It could be a bug (I do not remember exactly) already fixed on future version.

Could you please tell me how you fixed this horror ???
Sorry but never did still happens, although rarely. Only solution I’ve found is discard mission.
Canopy closed well before JFS. No brakes whatsoever, just chocks. Has happened with other loadouts here too.

I have the same issue, where sometimes - not always- the NWS does not go on after a good ramp start (not by stick, nor by keyboard).
Sounds like a similar issue? -

Before starting the JFS, move your throttle controller through its entire movement a couple times then “wake it up” make sure it is all the way back to idle. If after doing this it is physically idle but still not working check the calibration.

Sounds like a similar issue?Sounds like you clicked on the alt gear leaver, it’s “next to” the canopy switch, so that is an easy mistake.

Same issue today .
As the last time , it lasted about 40-45 , time for me to make some try : Nothing worked(trying another theater, swapping plane …) . I don’t know if it’s related or not, but the bug stopped after a complete restarting of my computer . I should have tried it 1st .
Then suddenly , all was working fine , as usual .

This solved it for me (for all you forum search function enthusiasts out there)
