No DVD drive on computer for install of Falcon 4,0
-
My brother’s computer does not have a DVD drive. Anyone know how can he install the original Falcon 4.0 so that he can get the new BMS 4.33 to run?
-
Welcome friend! not 4.33 we’re now 4.34 U4
you can procure that from Steam, et al…
-
Make an image of the original CD on a computer that does have a drive using IMGBURN or similar. Copy the new ISO to your brothers computer then mount the image as a new drive.
-
or purchase Falcon4.0 at GOG or Steam…

This is what I have done. I don’t even know where my original CD is any more, but I have the ISO backed up for any future use.

Just buy a copy of steam or GOG. It’s only a few dollars.
-
Making ISO is not necessary just copy the CD’s content into a separate folder on a USB flash drive. Setup runs just fine this way.

cool! this is a great idea to backup my (original) f4-cdrom.
it won’t last forever -

it won’t last foreverYea, but don’t worry - the digital versions do last forever, and cost less than ten bucks on average. BMS is easily responsible for >90% of all new sales for Falcon 4 on Steam and GoG. It’s here to say, even after all these years!

Yeah, you’re right!
And thinking about it, i would buy it again without any hesitation if i lost it or if the cd became unuseable.
