YAME64 suite

Do you have this problem on the server side or on the client?
On the server: YAME64 automatically puts your IP into the field in the “Server” tab. You can’t change this one.
On the client YAME does not even show a server tab. There is just the tab “Client” and if you choose “Get data from network” then you should be able to enter the servers IP into the “Server IP” field.
At least that is how it works on my side.
I use YAME64 on the BMS host and YAME32 on a linux networked subnotebooks, but that should not really be relevant.

Hello Kisakuru,
It’s on the Server side. It shows only 0.0.0.0 and I can’t change that manually. My BMS PC has a specific IP adress but it wont show.
Client side on my network PC is fine. There I can set the IP adress correctly after chossing “Get data from Network”.
Do you know where YAME is looking for the IP adress?
Thanks in advance,

You need to have it set in both 4.33 and 4.34 installation. At least that was the requirement I had when I tested YAME with 4.34

Where do I register a YAME64 bug?
It appears that on the Center Pedestal Block 60 panel the following buttons have problems:
CP60_OSB20 “Mode”
This button does not respond to keyboard callbacks.
Also with “Use Touch Screen” enabled the button only responds to every second tap on the touchscreen.
CP60_OSB24 “Left/Right MFD”
This button does not respond to keyboard callbacks.
I’ve checked these several times and both are totally repeatable.

Yep i did have it installed already!

Hi Tweety,
just some ideas:- I checked the YAME config files and i could not find any entry looking like an IP address, so I think it gets the address on the fly.
- please check your IP adress again on the command line: cmd -> ipconfig
there should be an entry like: IPv4 Address……192.168.178.21
If there is no IPv4 Address then that might be your problem. I can imagine YAME is not IP6 ready.
And finally: start YAME with admin permissions, at least it would not work correctly on my system without admin permissions.

Hi linknet,
YAME is not being actively developed for some time now, so it will be difficult to make a bugreport.
It is a pitty as I am a big fan of this program, specially because it works nicely on my old linux notebooks -

This button does not respond to keyboard callbacks. They worked for me (with hardware, no pushbuttons). Which version of Yame do you use, which version of BMS and what callback? do you use hardware or straight yame on the screen with pushbuttons it seems?
I had issues before because the CRS, HDG buttons callbacks are multiple (by1, by5 or the general ones) in BMS and that may be the source of your issue (you have to use the right one meant to be used with yame. But to narrow your issue, it would be most useful to know what callback you’re trying to emulate exactly

I’m using Helios to send keystrokes to YAME to control the “Center pedestal block 60” and select it’s various buttons. These are not the callbacks from YAME to BMS which are all working except for the CP60_OSB20 “Mode” button which sends the correct callback to BMS but only responds to every second tap on the touchscreen.
So in the YAME callbacks section if I set keyboard keys for the CP60_OSB20 and CP60_OSB24 callbacks the CP_60 buttons do not respond to the keystrokes either from Helios or from direct keyboard entry.

not familiar with Helios. And your setup seems pretty complicated with a lot of source for errors
and you still didn’t tell me specifically WHICH callback you’re trying to emulate?what function are you trying to program into these 2 OSB?

I’m not trying to program any function to send to BMS into these 2 OSB’s. Forget about BMS :). I’m merely trying to control the YAME “Center pedestal block 60” display via keyboard buttons from Helios. For instance sending a keystroke to OSB24 only changes the YAME “Center pedestal block 60” MFD’s from left to right, it doesn’t make any changes or send any callbacks to BMS.

Hello Kisakuru,
I also checked all YAME files in the “conf” folder with no luck.
I checked my IP address with ipconfig and it shows up well (192.168.2.1).
I always start YAME with Admin rights (even if not required on my SimPit).
I installed YAME on my other PC (including BMS4.33, ++) and there it shows the IP adress 192.168.178.21 by default (even when I set the IPv4 to 192.168.2.2). I disabled all Firewall, AV and so on. Both PC see each other in peer to peer. Any other ideas?
P.S.: My SimPit PC is Win7 and the “Client” PC is Win10. Might that be a problem?
Thanks again for any help.
Have a great evening,

Is the server pc connected to the internet?
No, I try a peer-to-peer connection to my second PC.
But this is one if the next steps (via the router)
If you want or have more information we can go via PM.
Thanks for your help,

Mmm that could be the problem. If the pc is not connected to the Internet the network library used should fail to get the ip address and ence working

That might be the reason why it worked on my Laptop, as it was connected to the WLAN.
Many thanks for the hint.
I gonna try it (hopefully) tomorrow.
Thanks and have a great evening,
