Hotas Cougar + Thrustmaster Rudder Control System (TM RCS)
-
Hello everybody! I have a Hotas Cougar (With Vipergear VFS and TQS midlife upgrade kit) + TM RCS (these are from the 90’s ). I can´t make the pedals work in the sim, can you give me some support about that. I can’t take a screenshot because the BMS get minimized when I press prntscrn key.
I use the same hardware in Xplane 11 and the pedals work perfect!.
Thanks in advance for your help and excuse my grammar.Regards from Argentina.

Hi Facundo - are you using the TARGET software from Thrustmaster or the Alternative Launcher (AL) to setup your HOTAS?
-
RCS is a fine bit of kit - only being unable to get a new spring made me retire mine (after 28 years of service).
In Setup/Controllers/Advanced do you have the rudders assigned to the correct axis? You need to be careful on this page as by default (for me at least) the rudders are defaulting to the Avionics/Range Knob. See attachment for correct/desired assignments.

I’m using the TM Cougar with ViperGear Hall sensors and RCS pedals in BMS without any problems.
Also make sure that in the Cougar Control Panel your axis have been defined correctly, like so:

Hi AWmk1, I only use TM CCP and sometime Foxy 4.0 to download the profiles into the Cougar.

Hi Guys, finally it got solved. I don’t know what happened but when I change the configuration to run Falcon BMS in windowed mode and get some screenshots for you I recalibrate the Cougar using the TM CCP and the missed axed showed up in the BMS Setup/Controllers Windows :D.
Here is the miracle’s proof. Thanks a lot for your assistance.

https://i.postimg.cc/tgQfK1g6/CCP.jpgpA bit off topic, but since Fcarrica’s problem is solved
I have the axis like this, but all the sudden axes 3 to 8 are not blue anymore. No clue yet what can be wrong. Any clue??
Thx Vordy

Only axes 1 and 2 being blue would suggest the throttle isn’t recognised by the joystick. Check connections first, try also disconnecting the throttle and do a restart of the Cougar (unplug then replug while holding trigger) finally connect the throttle again

Just getting back into Falcon, and a BMS user for the first time. I have the Cougar HOTAS and the Thrustmaster elite rudder pedals. Both the default falcon game and the Foxy ccp sees the rudders, but BMS doesn’t. In the advanced tab, only keyboard or mouse/wheel are my options… the pedals aren’t being seen. I’ve been looking for answers but can’t find any.
Can anyone help?
update:
seemed to stumble on my problem’s fix after seemingly exhausting effort. In the advanced section one of the knob settings there had the rudder pedals set. When I removed them the pedals became available for the rudder axis.
