Bridges

Now on day 6 of my first campaign on Balance of Power blue side. Campaign appears to be progressing well as and blue has taken several of the objectives sites on the western side of the map. Sarajevo, Tuzla and Banja Luca are still under red control, for now. Is their any point in destroying the bridges east of these areas to prevent reinforcements? I am not seeing any real movement east to west, rather seems to be going in the opposite direction, like red is retreating east.
I am controlling my own F-18 squadron and letting the AI frag the rest. Thus far, no bridges have been taken out. The motorized battalions seem to be able to traverse pretty much any type of terrain including the steep mountains, but not sure about rivers. This question would apply to other theaters as well, Kuwait for example.
Really well done theater, lots of attention to detail.

No but at some point in the campaign you are going to have to take control of the blue ground troops to get them to move more and east to take the last set of objectives

Following up on my own thread. I was targeting a red mech battalion that was on both sides of a bridge that crossed a small river or wash. I happened to take out the bridge as collateral damage while targeting the enemy vehicles. I observed the rest of the battalion for a while and they were crossing back and forth across the chasm after the bridge was destroyed on both sides without restrictions. So the take away is targeting of bridges has no stategic value in this theater.
Also on day seven of the campaign as blue troops were closing in on the final objectives the campaign ended with a crash at 2000:01. No stalemate or victory, just a crash. Jet froze, could here sound but keyboard was unresponsive. Loaded with an earlier save from a few hours earlier and ran in 2D and it crashed at the exact same time. Again no logbook info update.
