4.35 MFD font impossible to read at 'normal' zoom levels.

Could you share your video card settings with us? Thank you from now

…
Okay … try disabling the FXAA is you have if ON, set it OFF.
Tell us if it is better (less blurry).
-
I will try. Thank you.

Try also
and/or
MFAA OFF
and/or
Antialiasing - Gamma correction OFF
It could be one of them.

FXAA not an Option with Radeon cards all my AA is set to off Which means now the Outside visuals cannot benefit from AA yet still have MFD Font issue… so here is our options 1 AA=on results in blurry MFD fonts and better outside visual 2 AA=off results in Better MFD Font but poor outside visuals… is there any fonts files that can be altered without breaking MP ??

Interesting - These settings are all off for me and I am using the Anti-aliasing settings from inside BMS. Obviously I don’t want to turn those off because then I will have horrible jaggies so that It not really a solution in my opinion.
-
And further to my last, I have been playing with the Nvidia settings and no matter what I turn on or off it seems to have no impact on the sim. Even when options are set to “override any application setting”.

Same here. I think I can see from that comparison image that although the mfd font mask is accurate sharp, the font rendering method is aliasing the edges, causing the fonts to look thinner and blurry. No setting I can change appears to affect that blurriness. I was hoping that I had some transparency anti-aliasing enabled somewhere, but I don’t.
Although I’d prefer not to see the blurriness, the tiny size of the bullseye/cursor elevation fonts would be a more critical fix, as the real issue here is trying to read those tiny blurry fonts without zooming in. The larger OSB font is still readable even if it’s not sharp.

Here are two side by side shots of the same zoom level in 4.34 vs 4.35. In .35 the text is noticable smaller for BE coords. If there was any way to “bold” and increase the font (without losing a digit or course), that would surely help.
-
I have noted follow differences when 434 font files are copied to Falcon BMS 4.35/DATA/ART/CkptArt/3dFont over to 435 …Left= 434 font files in 435 right=435 font base install, both still have blur although 434 font more readable this is with same standard cockpit zoom level , not sure old 434 files will Break MP please Investigate **NB not sure WHY but Admin Removed my Attachment!

Confirmed that going back to the 4.34 font does not break the MP ‘same acdata’ setting.
Old font is definitely larger so it’s easier to see but still quite blurry at ~0.8 zoom level.
Looks like it will be the old font for me, shame this has to be modded as it seems like a pretty critical item in my opinion. Particularly in large force MP environment where being able to quickly and concisely call a BE coord over IVC is important.

https://hizliresim.com/NMIslW
https://hizliresim.com/Cd4EQKas you see there is difference on the MFD’s fonts
the fonts of MFD s are quite blurry and hard to read in the 4.35 -
Same for me.
Plz, how to back to 4.34 fonts?
-
The same happens to me
-
Excellent i will upload my Zip to make it easier for folks with issue .Download 434 MFD font pack (already contains 435 font as backup if you change your mind) copy contents of 434 folder to file path mentioned in readme . check READ ME… https://ufile.io/45dh6md1

So…the very first thing I notice is that the offending screenshots seem darker than the ones people like…is this yet another problem?
This is also a big problem with RL aircraft displays…there is a point where a boost in resolution can make the fonts unreadable. And trying to sort out just where that point is and get a consensus on what “works” can become a real food-fight. Seems like folks have this sorted here…but if you are extracting displays you may also want to play with the resolution - lower it some, don’t raise it.

Maybe the helmet visor down. Check Alt + V

The two files from this directory “C:\Falcon BMS 4.35\Data\Art\CkptArt\3dFont” that affect the BE’s font are these with that name “mfd_smaller_font_d”. The one is .gif and the other .rct.
Try to replace these two files and see the font of the BE in the mfd. I think that is more readable.

By aware that by doing so you may have labels misalignment on other MFD pages.
