Hello pilots, as this is the MC thread, I would like to ask a technical question about what each of the states of the advance options window in unit flags means, if you could tell me exactly what each of the states means, or refer me to some documentation. I would appreciate.
Greetings from the Caribbean.

Hey,
Not not fully back, just have some time at this moment.
The “Import Obj CVS” is just an import of this file only.
When building a theater and adding Objectives, you should be doing this in the te_new.tac. Just because its a better workflow.
When happy with what you have in the te_new, you would like to transfer your work to the campaign files and instant.cam.
For this, “export Obj CVS” from the te_new.Now make sure you “export the team occupation” for each campaign! This will store the occupation and you don’t loose the different team occupations you planned for each campaign.
You can store these export files where ever you like, but use the file name MC gives it automatically. You see later why.Next step, “Import OBJ CVS for campaigns”. Import the objectives you just exported from the te_new. All settings for the objectives will be imported. Normally you would need some extra steps to set everything as it should be, but this feature has these steps included and will be automatically prompted. Like the team occupation import.
It will automatically prompt you for the files, so now you know when the file name was importantFlags and frontlines are set automatically.
After the obj process has been completed and you have Units already included in the campaign files, the Advanced Unit Options screen is opened.
This so you can click on the “Fix Units after Obj Import”. which will run a check to move battalions on Objectives as the Objectives might have been moved a km or so.Hope this explains the process a little.
This one is pretty important and used a lot by theater builders. Each time you add/remove an objective or change links or what ever, you want to go through this process to transfer the changes to all the other files. This takes me about 5-7min to update all the campaign files, so it really speeds up the process.Gr Falcas

These are values which are stored in the files, but not really needed for the user.
So they are stored in the advanced section.Gr Falcas

appreciate the response General FALCAS.
Another technical question would be, how can I put with your wonderful Mission Commander tool, all the land and sea units that do not move to stay in place, but not one by one, if not in batches or to be able to change the state of the U Flags to a batch number and not unit by unit.

New version of MC released.

quick question Falcas, why do i get a white outline in the objectives? is it because the save isnt number 103 or is something wrong?

Nothing to worry about, is something I am still working on.
You can switch it off with the “Show Exact Location” checkbox.Gr Falcas

Hey Quick and very small update on MC.
Latest version is 0.5.14.556.
No changelog, just download the latest from the WDP site.
In case you don’t see the new version on the site, refresh it.Gr Falcas

Hi Falcas,
Since some time there is a small issue in MC. In the objectives window, the column headers do not match the actual data columns count.
I am pretty sure the content of ‘original owner’ is missing in the data. Because of this all data after that has the wrong column header.Just a small issue but I needed this original owner data sometime and could not get an overview in the grid.

Do you have Country Colors and/or Details selected Off?
Gr Falcas

I only had details on, and not the country colors.
It’s working again now with latest.

Falcas, thank you so much for your hard work and wonderful tools.
I have two questions, though… I just installed your latest MC version (0.5.14.556) and began to test whether it is now possible to convert 4.34 missions to 4.35. I’m currently in the process of clicking through the (apparently thousands) of “X is not a Y Object” dialogues that stem from the extensive DB revisions in 4.35.
-
Would it be possible for you to include a default “ConvObj.txt” file? This would obviate the need for each user to create such by trudging through this laborious process with the first mission converted… (I realize these differ for each theatre, but I suspect most of us are at least beginning with the stock Korea theatre.)
-
If not, would you be willing to change the state of the checkbox in the conversion dialogue to checked, so that “Always replace:” is the default? This would at least permit simply hitting ENTER each time the dialogue pops up (at least for those of us who want to build the stock conversion list the first time through), and save all of the mouse movement and clicking now required.
With regard to question one: I’d be happy to supply my “ConvObj.txt” file as a template for you to start with (assuming this conversion succeeds).
But, again, thank you for your marvelous toolset and all your hard work!
(As a retired software engineer, I realize how thankless one can feel when users whine about their endless needs… If you can do none of the above, that is perfectly alright by me.)

Hello,
During my missions in KTO i destroy enemy unit vehicles, mainly on SAM battalions.
The thing is that every unit get a replacement vehicle after a short while (1-2hours) so this thing is not so realistic.
for example, i destroyed both SA-10 radars several times but they keep on comming again so i can not nutrelized any unit, its like they have unlimited supplly and replacments.I checked MC to see if i can change it somehow and i found this :
Is this the place to handle this thing and if so what r the numbers in the circles means ?
-
Falcas, thank you for your great work. I use your toolset constantly.
I realize that 4.34 - 4.35 mission conversion is not yet working (as of revision 0.5.14.556).
On my most recent test, when I loaded the 4.34 mission I immediately met a storm of “objective replacement” dialogues (probably 100 or more). I realize the databases changed drastically, so this is to be expected. However, I believe there are two tweaks you could make that would make this process easier:
-
Change the state of the “Always use this objective for replacement” checkbox to ON by default. This would permit a quick series of ENTER presses to blow through the sequence (instead of having to click the checkbox and then the “Apply” button).
-
Provide a default set of conversion files (in “MC/Conv/Theater”) with the MC install, so all known conversions are automatic. (I’ll be happy to send you my own files for such use, once I achieve a successful result.)
This may all be OBE, since, if I understand correctly, the change in number/name of teams in 4.35 is so deeply entwined. But if you can ever sort that issue, I volunteer to test and provide any useful information/data that may simplify the conversion task for other users…

Nope, this is completely wrong assessment.
Conversion for 4.35 is fully working. Else 4.35 would have never been released.
All missions and campaigns have been converted to 4.35 before release.
And to stop (or try to stop) a myth from spreading… MC is always compatible with the latest released version of BMS (and even much newer non-released version)Objective replacement dialogues can happen, but if you get 100 or more… something is NOT normal as there are not those amount of changes for this in the database.
Better check what you are doing / what is happening.
What theater are we talking about in your case?Default setting of “Always use this objective for replacement” will not be set to ON. This can give you major issues in case you select the wrong objective.
The user has to select the correct objective and confirm this to always be replaced.
In a normal case there are only a couple of changes.MC already comes with default replacement files. If these files are missing for you, this could be the reason why you see so many questions popping up.
So check the MC location if you see the translate files. These files are only for KTO and might be updated for other theaters.
TBH, some 3D party theaters can be a mess and its not up to me to do all this work. MC files are just text files and can be updated by anybody.Gr Falcas
