X52 Pro DMS and Uncage Problems
-
Has anyone run into these issues?
Saitek X52 pro
1. According to the programming software and controller settings in-game, the uncage and DMS functions mapped to the throttle and stick work properly.
2. In game, the uncage button causes the chosen weapon (AGM 65) to reset to the guns function.
3. DMS on the hat switch does not change the sensor of interest. It either makes neither mfd the SOI or it just switches between sub elements (I.e., fcr, test, hsd)
I’m just getting back again and I haven’t done any ag missions so I don’t know if this is new and related to 4.35. I am stumped and once again frustrated.
Have any of you experienced these problems? Any suggested fixes?

As you said, the buttons seem to be working. When you’re in the “Game Controllers” screen in Windows (run joy.cpl) and your buttons light up when you press them, it means they work. In that case it’s a binding problem.
Are you using someone else’s profile that’s also using the Saitek/Logitech programming software? My advice would be to create your own and just stick to DirectX joystick mapping. That way you exactly know what’s being done and it’s not an abstraction layer where it’s difficult to start troubleshooting problems.

#2 Uncage is a multifunctional input which servees different functions on is swithc to gun if pressed long. The uncage AGM-65 is only executed with that button if the AGM-65 is powered on and the MFD WPN is SOI. In A-A it functuions again different purposes.
For detailed view ofthe multifunction switches on the HOATS refer to BMS1F-16CM-34-1-1.pdf pages 17-20 in your BMS docs folder -
Problem has been fixed! It was operator error. I was a little too heavy-handed with the Uncage button and DMS down hat switch.

So yes DMS down hold long > 0.5 sec is another multifunction as it’s a toogle to turn on and of HMCS. Short press down swithc SOI
