EZBoards - Generate kneeboards (flights, comms, stpts, weather) from briefings
-
Indeed those briefing records do not contain a pilot roster section. That is something new for me that i didn’t expect possible and EZBoards is not prepared for at the moment - sorry.
I have to talk with the theater/campaign developers to see what’s going on.
Might need some time, so don’t hold your breath. -
ah yes,i see now, i compared 2 different briefs, the one that dont work says situation instead.
hope its an easy fix.
thanks -

Might need some time, so don’t hold your breath. No need to apologise! I only posted it here so you knew about it. I’ve also got issues with non-English character sets (the Kuwait campaign seems to generate some garbage in the briefing header every time for me), but I’ve not investigated it properly yet.

Hello,
i got this info from smartaxe who develops the Somalia theater:Somalia campaign folder is missing a file called “divert.b”.
If copied from kto, to Somalia campaign folder , pilot roster shows in briefing screen. This might fix the issue. For those running Somalia, please try.
The Somalia guys will include it in their next update. -

Yep,it worked,perfect.
Thankyou guys !!! -

The Somalia guys will include it in their next update. You need to do that with all my 3rd party theatres: Kuriles, Somalia, and Panama. In the future, as time permits, all of them will be updated with divert.b file.

Update V6 released!
- Now automagically works with most add-on theaters out of the box without the need to change target path.
- Now includes EZSERVE, a means to view the generated briefings on other devices using a minimal http server.
Top post updated.

Tried this last night, with EZWATCH (for the first time). I tried several theatres, including Kuwait, Israel, Somalia and Balkans, and it just worked perfectly. Great job and a great tool. Personally, I’d vote for this functionality to be on the roadmap for the core sim at some point.

Quick update - I have found it doesn’t like briefings from Lorik’s Mike and Papa Balkans campaigns. I suspect it’s a character issue; I’ll see if I can debug it today.

Guys, whenever you have issues, send me the briefing.txt files (email address in first post) and I’ll have a look.

Hello, dear Logic.
Just a (not silly, I hope) doubt: could I keep the “debriefing output to file” option selected in F4Patch, or may this create a conflict with the proper program’s running?
With best regards.

Debriefings go to a different file. So no worries, it won’t interfere.

Just a little helper for “automating” (meh…) simpler process, run Ezwatch and EzServe in one go …
Make new batch file , name it what you want … eg “Run.bat”
If you correct path (YOU MUST, that is my path in code) then eg"Run.bat can be placed anywhere, even on desktop , as that is working path … so all is clear
Both cmd windows will start minimized and in low priority … no need for more.Have fun.
@ECHO OFF start "ezwatch" /D "D:\Hangar\EZBoards-v6" /MIN /LOW cmd /k ezwatch.bat start "ezserve" /D "D:\Hangar\EZBoards-v6" /MIN /LOW cmd /k ezserve.bat EXIT
Ps. One question for @Logic… how da heck you pulled out TACAN from wingmen … I’ve dissected , but can’t figure out… maybe I missed …
Otoh… can you also include (squeeze) PPT steerpoints (56-70) into EzServe (briefing.html) report … dont need all … hmmm, just “target” ones - there are , well , at least one of interest - Harpoon PPT (X - on HSD)
- obviously , we/me don’t need SAM PPT’s and lot’s of others… but how to sort/filter… if can squeeze all , then by all means … squeeze them all THANKS
-
Nice, thanks!
The TACAN information is hard coded with what is considered a standard recommendation.
It doesn’t reflect any real settings, i don’t think it can be pre-programmed anyway?
I don’t even know if AI wingmen use this. -
Ah… so it seemed. Hardcoded yes… No, AI don’t use it and it can’t be reprogrammed but I use it and constantly workin 63 number up and down … so now I can just read (well, till now I’ve could remember it already, but duh)
Anyway, please see if you can do something with those PPT’s …, since I’ve seen in briefing.html that you’ve pulled out INS/Precision target steerpoints, and that helps a biggie .
Cheers
-
AI use the default yardstick scheme (12/22/75/85 +1 for each next flight) but it’s not changeable. Once someone memorizes the pattern it’s not necessary to have it briefed.

Do you have some examples (paste your callsign.ini lines) for steerpoints you would like to have versus those you don’t want to?
I’ll be waiting for some more feedback from other people to see if and what is requested exactly. -
I can’t think none other then this one:
ppt_2=1645059.375000, 2571349.000000, 0.000000, 0.100000, X
It is a “Harpoon” PPT , so only coordinates are important as we’re using that to input in harpoon/precision target steerpoint (90-99) … manually via LIST-DEST
We would assign those coordinates directly in eg. stp90 . but problem is that you can assign target steerpoint only on some target, in recon/target screen.
You cannot assign target steerpoint to an empty space, sea, … that would be cool… or even copy waypoint to another waypoint … via ICP/DED.
Currently we copy coords in DEST page from that PPT(stp58 ) to stp90 … that works… but when you can READ it … it saves time… same with TACAN … fred. (I wasn’t using enough t o have it memorized, have it even printed tho )
