How do you program this switch and this wheel - see pic

3 is the throttle resistance wheel. You cannot use it as input.
-
1 - speed brake
2 - radar antenna tilt
3 - as Sungad says -

Okay…… afterwards I think I got the question wrong…
It’s not what we USE the buttons for, but how to make them playable. For 1, I use the “MAD CATZ” software (that came with the HOTAS) to produce keypressings.
For 2, although it is a wheel, it works like two buttons (up and down) that can be assigned directly ingame via DX. -
Just out of curiosity, What exactly is #1? Is it a two-position swich or a continuous slider?

It’s no from an X56 but from my X65F but all Saitek work the same that way.
By Default the Wheel has mouse wheel up and down recorded by default. I you want to use them as DX buttons you have to either delete the mouse up and down assignment or set them to unprogrammed. -
Hi guys,
Just a heads up for those using Windows 10 64 / 32 There is a crash issue with the old Mad Catz software. I use the Saitek X52 Pro, couple of other pilots near me use X55 and 56.
There is a great replacement for the older software specifically designed and works with Windows 10 with no issues. Just go to the Logitech SIte (seeing as they now own the rights to the Saitek series of sticks and HOTAS)
The new set of drivers and Software are now registered with Microsoft, so there are few issues if any.
Those still using Windows 7 / 8, I havent got a 7 / 8 platform to test them on, so stick with what you know.
Everyone can use joy.cpl in your system to work out what the buttons / axis are numbered as for DirectX inputs if needed at the bottom of your keyfiles.
Hope this helps you out.
Stay safe and well
