The reason there are a lot of bridges and such in the desert is because of how the ground units move on the map. As any ground units that move across the map, they expend supplies and fuel. If there aren’t objectives filled with supplies and fuel at certain distances, the units will stall and cease movement. Thus all the bridges. Also, theatres that have more units than objectives don’t work and will CTD. We ran into that issue in Somalia. In order to fix that, bridges were added. The way BMS is coded, desert theatres can be problematic.
Fascinating! Thanks for this info. BMS is so much more complex than it looks on the surface.
Maybe bridge objects can be 2D and 3D modeled to look like something more appropriate for the theater? For example, camp site, or broken down 4x4 wreck, lean-to cabin, helicopter wreck, etc.
But probably smarter folks than me already considered that?

first off , thank you very much for making this theater available! It’s a nice addition to the sim.
I have one question,after I installed the Nevada terrain I can no longer assign aircraft to different
coloured team in the dogfight modes ( furball , team furball , match play) . When I select and try to add
an aircraft to one of the other teams, that aircraft is instead added to my own team.
When I select Korea as terrain via the alternative launcher the issue dissappears and I’m able to to normally
add aircraft to the other teams.
Also what’s strange , when I enter dogfight from the main menu, all available modes are there twice, once with
a number in front and once without (see attached pic) .However I tried both and the above issue is with both version.
Did I mess up the terrain installation somehow or is this a bug?Kind regards ,

After talking to a few on dev team. I have stopped all work. New engine will change everything. Once that is released I will put effort into 3d modelling and trying to create range targets or other items of interest for future Nevada release.
