Idle Detent / TM Warthog
-
Hi everyone. Sorry if this is old news but does BMS 4.35 not recognize any movement past idle detent on the TM Warthog Throttle? It recognizes it past the military thrust/burner detent but not before the idle detent. Every time I cold start the throttle position is at idle and not in the off position in sim. I’ve tried setting the idle detent in key mappings but that doesn’t work. Any help would be marvelous. (Solution found) I needed to uncheck the idle cuttoff box in config.

Hi, jhouse,
This is not a bug , the warthog axis’ end at the detent. When you pull the throttle back over the detent it’s like you are throwing a switch on each throttle. And Icer is correct, AL will make it easy.
Procedure-1) Go into Configuration( off the standard launcher) and make sure :idle detent at cutoff" is unchecked
2) Now go in AL and set it up like my screenshot. Mine has both throttles set as I fly the Hornet a lot.
If you’re unfamiliar with AL, let us know -
SimThrottleIdleDetentLeft 61 8 -2 0 0x0 320
My 62nd button bound to that callback goes to cutoff on button on and leaves cutoff with button off.

You could use a callibration tool for the Warthog throttle. I found one here and it worked at least for me:
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?42178-Can-you-remove-the-Idle-detent-in-the-Warthog-Throttle&p=574766&viewfull=1#post574766My Warthog throttle axis goes all the way back, even beyond the idle cut off.
