Awesome. Thank you!
One question: You fly with the jammer on constantly. I was under the impression that it’s better not to do this because then the enemy can lock onto the jammer itself? Perhaps in BMS there are no adverse effects of leaving it on?

Jammer has one disadvantage: you can be spotted at longer range than if you were not jamming. Also, it allows “home on jam” from active missiles like aim-120/adder.
Advantages: takes longer for someone to lock onto you, and the range at which they can is decreased.

Krause, can you add a tutorial video on using JSOWs? BTW, your air-to-air refueling video was every helpful. I was finally able to hook up. For me, that’s the first time since Falcon 4.0 came out.

JSOW work exactly like agm-65.

Good Job Krause. Usefull for many new (and old) guys.
PS: At 7:30 in your video - if you host you and even if you dont intend to host IVC and uncheck the IVC boxes, enter the 127.0.0.1 IP anyways under your
Dedicated IVC Server field or ATC Tower repsonses might not work. We ran into this in Redflag.
For dogfight matchplays this doesnt matter though…Allow me to link to further detailed information: http://falconworkshop.org/teamarcher/index.php?topic=139.0

@tyrspawn:
4. How do I download your videos?
I’m not offering direct download links to the videos because i’m lazy. That being said, you can directly download them effortlessly off YouTube if you use DownloadHelper.That’s unfortunate I’m in China so downloading youtube vids that are 80mb+ can be hit and miss, they often detect VPN connections and disconnect you after a few mins as well as inject massive packet loss from time to time. I’d love to get into BMS but haven’t touched this game since 1999, a torrent with all the mp4s etc would be ideal.

One of the aspect that is missing is actually planning the mission itself. I realized that I miss that part big time. How to fully utilize BMS’ mission planning tools and such.
Some of it is covered when we created steerpoints for AGM-88 HARM PRE targeting mode and missile avoidance.

I do not understand the HMS usage with AIM-9X.
1. You cannot lock anything without using radar with HMS.
2. You cannot lock anything beyond 60 deg offset, because the radar azimuth limit is 60 deg. If you have locked the target then disengage the radar, the lock tone remains.
Even with AIM-9X the diaming does not follow your head movement beyond about 30 degrees.
