Opentrack

Thanks, that tool will come in handy. I actually managed to set up Voice Macro, which has one advantage over VA, namely it’s free. I’ll give WSR training a few more runs, but it seems to be. Right now, my priority is making the VM macros, since its disadvantage over VA is that it doesn’t have a forum full of BMS profiles for it. I’ll post mine once I’m done, so other people could have a look. Initial tests were very promising.
And yes, I know it’s per microphone. I had recently emerged victorious from a heroic struggle to restore a really nice headset which someone (likely the previous user, that is, one of my younger brothers) broke by ripping out an earbud cable out of the volume control. The only thing that worked was the mike, but after a day with a soldering iron and a bit of hot glue (speakers detached from their housings while the thing was in storage), I finally have a fully functional headset, with a mike and everything.
Of course, it’ll all be for naught if the throttle keeps flaking out on me. I need to find some kind of workaround (will be investigating virtual joystick software) so that a momentary disconnection can be recovered from. A replacement pot is already on order, but unfortunately it’s being shipped from China, and you know what’s going on over there right now. Taking the pot apart and cleaning it didn’t help, so I need to rig up a software solution for a few months.

but i was wondering about this?…
opentrack pic by arabianjules, on Flickr
does the X through the middle led mean anything?
in game, i need to take out pilot model, he gets in the way, im not able to see down to my L or R to the rear of the consoles?
thanks for any feedback

Check the dimension settings the X represents where Opentrack calculates head rotation point. It should be offset to the IR detection

My BMS.ini for opentrack maybe just to get you an idea of curves
with correctly configured opentrack no issue to see all panels with pilot model turned on

1. You haven’t done the calibration. All values are still 0 0 0
2. You can unzip my BMS.zip and put the included .ini file in your windows/user/documents/Opentrack Folder.Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk

ok so i used your file oakdesign, and it was ok for a while, and i dont know i must have done something to cock it up, soi went back and set it all up again, in the intial set up video that delanclip give you, its a guy from DCS, which is a good video, again problems, i have move my camera across the to side of the clip, and tilted clip up slightly, as it seemed the top led was masking the middle one slightly.
But now in 3D pit its not smooth and its all over the place like the movement change is set to short?
oh dear…any help/pointers greatly recieved.

I have gone through setting up a Delanclip system recently. One thing you could make sure is that the LEDs are being read properly, like you say with enough spacing between them. For that you could try CL-Eye Test, that is one of the programs that Delanclip recommends as first stage in setting up. I used it to make sure that the LEDs were distinctly different, like just three white dots on a black background, in the middle of the screen and vertically aligned. That program will show you if you need to move your camera a bit and perhaps set filters. Or even if you have to bend the clip slightly, which Delanclip almost always needs.
This is what the camera “sees” on my setup, almost vertical and three distinct dots:

Thank you for your profile. It really saved me some time and allowed me to enjoy flying instead of trial and error set up

@obsidianuk Obsidian your profile worked like a charm…I completed two missions with no issues! Outstanding!!

Here , neverimnd the name of the profile lol
But those are last axis setting I use…
You might/ probably will need to correct/preset as your preference , as there are no two setups that are the same,
Need to copy this file to /ini subdir of opentrack … per win settings, probably same on Nux.
Cheers, enjoy
