Re: Trim reset - Set @ cockpit Can’t assign a trim reset button in BMS 4.36. Can someone help me on how to do it. Thank you

assign it to a rotary on your HOTAS.

@Sniper-0 there are some confusing “placeholder” lines in the stock key files … it is saying, scroll down to section “6.1 Other Cockpit Callbacks” and you’ll find the entry for reset-trim there.
But the real answer to your question is, install and use Alternative Launcher for modifying key bindings.

https://github.com/chihirobelmo/FalconBMS-Alternative-Launcher/releasesI really would like to use AL again. But it doesn’t work with the Winwing throttle. So AL might be a good choice for you but definitely not for everyone.

Well the real real answer is, do not use it
There is no such thing in the real jet. -
Hi,
It works fine for me using the standard BMS set-up. Admittedly I have ported my own .Key file from 4.35 into 4.36 though. On examination of the two BMS Full files in question, I see that the CKPIT: TRIM RESET default keys for 4.36 is ALT F1 as opposed to ALT ENTER from my own .Key file. Now, ALT ENTER in my .Key file toggles Full Screen off and on in 4.36, but because I have tied that function to a DX key press it causes no issues and works perfectly in resetting all the trims back to neutral.
Hope this helps.

I have trim reset mapped to a button on my warthog throttle as it’s handy to have around if you don’t have a full-blown cockpit.
Dropping a GBU-10 for instance requires a lot of trimming input once the ordnance clears the aircraft (achieved via the coolie hat on the stick), and once you drop the 2nd one it’s nice to be able to press a single button to reset the trim values to neutral (I’ve chosen the black “autopilot” pushbutton on the throttle for this purpose).
Cheers, Uwe
