Tanker patrol

When setting up a tanker to fuel other aicraft, where do i assign the patrol duration? Is this done at the begining point or end? For example i want a 2 hour duration for fuelling between steerpoints 5 and 6. Do i set the tankers patrol duration at steerpoint 5 or at 6?

Click on steerpoint 5 and select Fuel for the action. At the bottom of the window you can set the duration. It should automatically appear the same in steerpoint 6 if the action for steerpoint 6 is also set to Fuel.
When adding a package with the roll set to refuel, it should automatically set 2 steerpoints to Fuel and set a patrol duration of 5 hours.

Thank you for the info.

I am still having some trouble with the tanker refusing to give me fuel. Do i set the action for tanker to “fuel” or “refuel”? Maybe that is the issue here. What else should i check?
Also if i want to practice multi-aircraft refueling where i am #4 to refuel, what settings for tge f16 flight plan do i use “fuel” or “refuel” for the 4 F16s. Do i need to set their speed and alt to match the tanker?

Create a tanker flight and see if it says fuel or refuel…

Good afternoon, mate.
It’s “fuel” that task action you are seeking for… so try to change them (they are two, to make a loop), setting a proper time to do that (the same for both, preferibly) and see what new happens.
Good luck!
With best regards.

What I do to set up a Tanker or an AWACS is to start a campaign, find the kind of flight that I want and write down the actions of each stp.
Then I just create a flight just like in the campaing.

I’ve got the tanker set to FUEL for ENROUTE and ACTION starting at steer point 3 arriving at about 7:40. I set the duration to 60 minutes… so as I understand it the tanker should fly back-and-forth between Steer point 3 and 4 for one hour offering fuel. After one hour will stop fueling proceed to steer point 5 and beyond.
My two F16s are in a separate package and rendezvous with the tanker. The F16s are set to refuel for about 40 minutes along the same stretch of sky (they are using different steer points).
I can find the tank okay and get in position, but the tanker refuses to give any fuel. When I check the tankers flight plan after leaving the cockpit - the tankers steer point 3 has no duration time set for the fueling.
Any help on what I am doing wrong?

okay. i have both steerpoint 3 and steerpoint 4 set as fuel action and fuel enroute. Now those parameters are holding. Tanker will give fuel.

And the tanker will do her task for two hours in the whole (one hour for each waypoint), to be precise on that. Is that corresponding to you?
With best regards.
