Stop Ships from moving around
-
Hey guys,
does somebody know how to tell ships to stop the heck moving??
I tried million different things in BMS itself, in MC, everywhere, the result is always the same, the ships are moving in 3 different patterns, which also vary in size, have a look on these screenshots.
I tried to give the ships a route in MC, so they won’t use this crazy patterns anymore, no chance.
Is there ANY way to stop these ships and force them to stay, where I placed them on the map?Thank you for any tip!!!

In MC set 2 Waypoints for ship.
first waypoint is ship location
second waypoint is ship destination. Do NOT change speed or any other parameters, just place the waypoint with right mouse click.
set current waypoint to 1.Should have flown Coast Guard TE with me two days ago …

In MP you can stop the carrier to move:

@Wolfman Thats exactly what I tried already as one of my many unsuccessful ways and it did not work unfortunately.
-
@MaxWaldorf Thank you Max, I try, if it may work for normal ships as well!

unfortunately no!
-
@Korbi I told you this was only for the carrier…
Now if you switch them controlled by human?

@MaxWaldorf Will try asap and report back

@MaxWaldorf Did not work as well. I also tried it in combination with the procedure Wolfman mentioned above.
Seems, that there is no way to solve that.

@VIPER-0 Ah interesting! I will check, if thats possible for our planned event, as I imagine this must be set on the server for a multiplayer game.

In the case of our wing, we have all the static units because in the campaign when they start to move across the terrain the data consumption increases exponentially, and when there are 6 human pilots flying the thing shoots up to astronomical levels, the story is that our wing flies connected to the internet but using the mobile data of their phones paying for data packages at high prices, so to guarantee that all the pilots can participate in the wing’s flights without spending a lot of mobile data and money, we decided as a community put all the static objects, except the enemy aircraft and the own planes that we fly.
With respect to whether or not it is compatible in multiplayer, we can confirm that yes, it is compatible and it does not even influence that they have to be the same characteristics of the aircraft, because what is modified there is not whether the aircraft or the ground unit if not the behavior in the campaign and in TE.
You only have to modify the database where you are going to create the mission and with the mission commander edit the campaign or the mission and as the MC will look for the falcon database then place the objects with the restriction or the static characteristic , which are the same characteristics of the vehicles, only they do not move.
The air defense responds the same, the tank battalions defend themselves, that is, everything is the same as a campaign, only they don’t move.
This is one of the resources that our combat wing found to be able to lower the consumption of mobile data and allow everyone to return and fly longer without worrying about their pocket. (money)
Greetings.

@VIPER-0 I will try that, Thank you!

@VIPER-0 really like your post explaining why. Sometimes requests seem really strange but there can be very reasonable outside factors underlying them. I’m often impressed at how creatively and well people adapt to those situations. Nice post!

We are glad that you like the way we managed to fly our FALCON simulator. And I always speak in the plural because each post that I post here is on behalf of our community in CUBA.
Our community has managed to get all the juice out of the falcon, even with the limitations imposed on us by the Cuban dictatorship.
Our community especially wants to congratulate you for the wonderful voice recognition and control tool. Many of our pilots use it and especially me.
GREETINGS a hug from far away in the Caribbean.
