CTD to desktop on ITO 80's 1.06.2
-
@Seifer @Tumbler31 well thanks a lot I’m glad that that may resolve the problem
As for the installation goes frankly I am quite surprise I have two different version of ITO installed. I have no clue how that could have happened. I recently re installed Windows10 then installed BMS 4.36 from scratch and then downloaded ITO v2 via full installer. What I recalled vAiCon asked me to re write Acdata but I cant remember if I did that after I downloaded ITOv2
Do you suggest I should uninstall ITO v2 and then download again via full install steps?
https://forum.falcon-bms.com/topic/22493/israel-theater-of-operations-for-bms-4-36maybe I did not follow the installation steps correctly. Do you mind explaining what Exe means on point 3 in the below step procedure ?
-
@zamcesarc that is correct.
1- Remove your current ITO install completely.
2- Download that full installer of 1.06.2
3- Install it.At this step you are done. But given all that happened, check that your
F-4E IAF.dat
looks exactly like mine (ie you can see AOA Max Player and AOA Max AI). -
-
@Seifer and this is the F-4E IAF.dat i was given by vAiCon on a separate link which seems to look like yours
Pal, the full installer 1.06.2 file that one downloads from torrent is installing the wrong file
-
@vAiCon something is wrong in the installer then?
-
@zamcesarc I’m guessing the old 80’s theater is still installed and that prevents the latest ITO installer overwriting this dat file
@vAiCon somewhat off-topic, the AV8B’s in the latest installer also miss this line. I’m guessing they’re normally not flying in this theater but if they are, they will also cause mayhem. Better fix these too

@Seifer
I followed the conversation here, and have added this line to f-4E IAF.dat file:+24.000000 # AOA Max AI
And now it does not crash. I could fly the mission without crashing. Seem like this solves the issue.

from which link have you downloaded the Installer ?
-
Can you guys try installing from the gdrive installer to check if it is correct or not?
-
Hello,
It seems I have downloaded it via torrent Israel Theater 1.06.2v.zip.torrent
But now I went back and do not see the link in the 1st comment of the ito topic for this file. But I’m sure it was there at Nov 7 as I wouldn’t have the file here.

removed by my side to prevent further issues,
I have tried my install on the Gdrive and it worked everytime, so if you are saying its ok, then it might be one of the causes of the CTDs in that post
@zamcesarc @petrouvis please install the gdrive install and let me know if it has been settled -
@vAiCon I tried downloading from the google drive but the download keeps failing at the end i tried different browsers either its a problem of my internet or the download itself.I will keep trying.
-
@vAiCon I did not re install but replaced F-4E IAF.dat and havent had any single CTD I did download the full installer from gdrive and keep it in my folders
I am flying few more missions and will be able to confirm soon technical issue has been resolved @Seifer @Tumbler31
-
@zamcesarc cool glad you got it sorted. This one was tricky. Happy flying!
-
@Seifer Yeah, I flew a few missions also now and no CTD at all, since I added that line manually into the f4 dat file!
-
@Seifer I can confirm that no CTD encountered since dat file fix. Please consider this one Solved
