Migrating key file from 4.36 -- New/changed callbacks?
-
Obviously there’s new callbacks for controlling ECM modes … but in terms of migrating an old key file, the main change I notice so far is:
SimEcmPower
(togglejammerpower) appears deprecated, in favor ofSimEcmPowerOn
/SimEcmPowerOff
And … I feel like I owe a beer to whoever finally implemented
SimCursorUpLeft -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 "TQS: RDR CURSOR - Up Left" SimCursorUpRight -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 "TQS: RDR CURSOR - Up Right" SimCursorDownLeft -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 "TQS: RDR CURSOR - Down Left" SimCursorDownRight -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 "TQS: RDR CURSOR - Down Right"

Oops no wait, toggle-jammer is
SimECMOn
and that’s unchanged.SimECMOn -1 0 0X24 0 0 0 1 "SHORT: Toggle Jammer"

@airtex2019 all new Callbacks are in the BMS default Keyfiles and mentioned here:
Docs/01 Input Devises/NewKeyfileFunctions. Txt
The other Keyfile docu will get an update in upcoming releases.
Cheers

@airtex2019 There’s more in there…
I use notepadd++ with a ‘compare’ addon, and compare the full.key files from both. Then copy and paste, or delete anything new to/from my old customised key file. Works a treat. Also use it for the falcon bms.cfg files, to carry over my settings.

TL/DR for the new ECM stuff … now we use CMS-aft thumbswitch to “turn on” jammer (viz. give consent to jam, depending on xmit mode and detected signals) and CMS-right to “turn off” jammer (viz. set jammer to standby).
It looks like the
SimECMOn
callback is now just an alias forSimCMSDown
. (It will enable the jammer, but not turn it off.)Using the CMS switch properly, frees up a button on my throttle base… nice! Also appreciate the increased fidelity of the ECM systems and RWR integration, of course. I always wondered what purpose of CMS-right/aft was… now I know.
