Getting sound but no image in ReverbG2..
-
Hey Guys,
Big Thank you to the BMS team Vr is cool.
I had this working and I just reinstalled windows but I am unable to get it working after I reinstalled Windows.
Looking at the posts here it should be as simple as enabling the Virtual Reality slider in the launcher but it does not seem to work this time around. I did have it working and steam VR is installed. Other VR games work and that is no issue but for the life of me can not figure why it will not work now…
Before I had the 2d window floating in the mountain room in Steam VR and then when I clicked fly VR kicked in, I am getting sound in the headset but no image…
I have the following setup:
- Intel 10700K
- ASRock Phantom 4 Z590 4AC motherboard.
- MSI Armor 1080ti
4., thrustmaster cougar. - Soundblaster Z
- Buttkicker gamer 2
- Win 10 64bit 22H2.
I read the foums/Discord and some of the pertinent manuals guides but nothing is getting it to work… Last time I got it working I just did a few things and I thought I did them now but no image in the headset so wierd but it must be something simple…
Anybody have any ideas?

Just to confirm, you also reconfigured your Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR settings after your reinstall (+ set room boundary using the seated and standing option), and the Windows Mixed Reality Portal is running in the background (which should also will trigger SteamVR if G2 is hibernating) when you launch BMS?

Yes that is all setup and I can run my other VR games through SteamVR so I don’t think that is an issue…
The Boundry is set for seated and you set that up after you install the software for WMR.
I had it working before and I do not remeber doing anything special. I just dont see what the issue is here man do I feel dumb… LOL!!

@The_Nephilim I’ve had this problem before and it was due to a bad cable connection to the Reverb at the HMD side. Turn the computer off, unplug the PC side display port and usb cables , pull the cable from your headset and re-insert it until it clicks, then re-plug the other cables and start back up.

Well I tried it and it still does not work. I am unsure what I have missed? I will keep fidgeting with it.

OK I got it. it was one of these lines in the VR Section in Falcon4 cfg:
set g_bVRNoPresent 1 // This will not display the companion window in VR (only HMD will show image in 3d)
set g_nVRHMD 1 // Enables the OpenVR (default 0/false).
they bother were on Zero I changed them too 1… works now yahoo!!
