RE: JTAC says Unable
@arkady86 said in JTAC says Unable:
@Micro_440th No worries Sir, thanks for your time and patience. Gotta say it went just as I wasw anticipating TBH… The same thing happened in a couple more TEs I tried to put together and I still can’t find the bottom of it. Weird. Will post more updates should I stumble upon anything new. Thanks again!
EDIT: just for completeness’ sake, when testing the TE I tried both flying the whole mission up to JTAC check-in and just jumping in mid-flight right before the S&D STPT, same result…
We (ProSkies) experienced a similar issue after building a JTAC training TE. Our resolution may work for you if you’re still receiving “Unable” from the JTAC. We discovered that the STPTs for our CAS mission only contained one target STPT (a S&D STPT) within 10 NM of the JTAC’s posit. We changed the next STPT (previously a Nav STPT) into another S&D STPT, so that we had two S&D STPTs relatively centered over the CAS area. Confirm that your target STPT attributes are “Enroute: Nav” and “Action: S&D” and that the next STPT is also “Enroute: Nav” and “Action: S&D”. I believe this will resolve the issue.

RE: Allied aircraft do not respond to IFF interrogation
@RingoSurf
Another item during your ramp start you can check is to ensure you are coupling your SCAN/LOS (two separate pages) interrogator code to/from your transponder codes via the DED’s “INTG” page (active since 4.34). Reference T.O. BMS1F-16CM-1 BMS 4.35 Change 3.00, 1.3.16.10 INTG page (RCL).If not, you may observe random times when you are not receiving IFF replies (because the change criteria has occurred). Since your IFF codes will change every hour (reference your “Iff” schedule from your package briefing), if you are airborne when the next IFF schedule change does occur and your IFF interrogator was/is NOT coupled to the change criteria then your interrogator will continue to use the previous hours codes. This is also dependent on other factors such as which codes are being used for IFF, packages airborne during change criteria, etc. This may not be your situation, but you can at least eliminate it as a cause.
Excerpt from the -1:
Entering “9 – ENTR” in the scratchpad couples or decouples the SCAN/LOS interrogator code to/from the transponder codes. When coupled, all changes made manually or through the change criteria (POS/TIM) to the IFF transponder pages will be automatically copied to the IFF interrogator pages. If decoupled, interrogator pages will not reflect any changes made on the transponder pages.

RE: OPENXR
Can anyone tell me where I can get Open XR for my HP Reverb set with WMR setup.
I always get download links just for the Toolbox or developer tools… but as far I know that toolsbox causes trouble and must not be installed…
But I can´t find just the OpenXR… ?Although created for that other sim and was updated in 2023, works for BMS and Reverb G2. Follow the OpenXR Tools instructions. You will not need the toolkit. An OpenXR guide is in the video description. You may need to adjust some of the steps for your specific configuration. Worked fine for me.

RE: Ivc host issue
@Luca-Accardo said in Ivc host issue:
@Gunz_ProSkies @vandroy This is what the ports look like in the router
https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:EU:841ab2b8-5a68-47b6-b445-1c4088394e68From a quick glance at your router configuration I believe your setting for LAN Host Port (9987) is probably the issue. I suspect that one setting is limiting your comms in your internal LAN to only data over port 9987 (i.e., F1 comms).
When you are hosting BMS and IVC for others to connect, your WAN Ports (9987-9989) settings opens those ports to the internet (clients), so external client computers are able to use the full IVC port range. That is why they can hear both F1 and F2.
Since you have internally set the LAN Host Port entry as 9987, I suspect that when you host, only data packets over LAN port 9987 will reach your computer (i.e. no data over port 9988 or 9989). This setting is probably why you hear F1 comms only, and not F2 comms. F1 comms are traveling over your LAN port 9987.
Therefore, F2 comms are traveling over one of the other ports, but your computer has only port 9987 data being forward from the router. I recommend testing this by clearing the LAN Host Port entry (i.e., blank). This presumes your router allows that field to be blank. If so, then have a client connect with you to confirm both F1 and F2 comms are being received on your end.
I presume your Host LAN setting is set to your computer’s internal network address, then with the LAN Host Port blank, your router should just forward data from the WAN Ports you have set.
Hope that helps.

RE: Ivc host issue
@Luca-Accardo said in Ivc host issue:
hello everyone, I’ve had this problem for a while now,
basically when I host a game the comm f2 on ivc doesn’t work while the comm f1 works.
when I connect as a client everything works fine.
what can I check?One possibility is that one (or more) of your IVC ports are not configured properly or were entered incorrectly. I recommend confirming that IVC ports 9987 UDP, 9988 UDP, and 9989 UDP are all set correctly in your router/network and are being forward to your computer’s address. If you can connect to another IVC host and hear F1/F2, but your IVC host instance is problematic, checking your port forwarding would be a good start. We have seen a similar experience when one of the IVC ports were entered incorrectly.

RE: ivc problem
@Luca-Accardo said in ivc problem:
Hello everyone, I’m experiencing an issue with IVC. Basically, when I’m hosting a session, I’m unable to receive or transmit on the VHF, not even when we’re in 2D during checks with F1 and F2. UHF works correctly, and other clients are able to communicate with each other on the VHF. What am I doing wrong?
We noticed that when I broadcast on the VHF in IVC Server it marks it as ServerID=2,
as in the image below attached while everyone instead when they transmit the message you read is
serverid=1
when I connect as a client everything works correctly
If you haven’t checked for this already I recommend rechecking your port forwarding settings to ensure the IVC ports are correctly set (9987-9989). I have observed situations when one of these port numbers were not entered correctly and resulted in a similar experience you described.
