4.37 MP rejoin F-16 inflight opens canopy

In MP if you join a flight that is already airborne, the jet is given to you as if it was a RAMP join, with the only exception that the engine is already running.
Observed in KTO campaign Double Dragon twice (on different occasions).Reproducibility Procedure
- Join MP campaign flight at RAMP, one A/C is AI controlled!
- take off, get shot down
- end mission
- rejoin same flight, using one of the AI slots
- observe canopy opening, and switches are all set as if it were a RAMP start
Expected Behavior
A/C is given to you as in e.g. Training Mission AAR, which means running and with closed canopyBtw. observed with 4.37 U1 as well.

@Wolfman It’s a known issue. I haven’t personally seen the cockpit set as if it were a cold RAMP Start, usually it is set based on your saved cockpit state.

@JollyFE as in the [alt+C][S] to save cockpit defaults? interesting … I forgot about that.
what file(s) is that stuff saved in?
should BMS ship with a safer set of “cockpit defaults”? or are there ripple effects that break other things…

May I ask if there’s speed limit for open canopy? Would it be too much trouble to trigger canopy jettison animation in case of extreme overspeed? It looks kinda silly when you can see Vipers (or other planes) happily cruising at speed of hundreds knots with open canopy.
'tho at least it’s not a Hornet being in controlled flight with wings folded. -
This bug was since 4.36 I think. One solution till the update is to try to enter again in the same or in another aircraft.
Another solution that may work for you is to have an aircraft on the ground, hit take off and then taxi. Once taxi is selected try to get in the airborne aircraft.
