Windows 11&BMS
-
Hello,
I have a question about win 11 and BMS, I am curious about how as a consensus here in this community,the "pros"if any or cons . I am by ho means an expert, maybe at best a novice that will soon upgrade to a new mach and it will have win 11,since win7 is out of date .
So you see my concern, and viewing lots of info on the this type of upgrade,I thought I would get some feedback from this great community.Please excuse my ignorance, just looking for additional info. Let the flaming begin!!!Thank you in advance,

@Hickory73 I recommend Win10 22H2.
I think the biggest problems for Win11 users have been VR related… also I hear some (?) Saitek software fails to install, and hasn’t been updated since 2018 so probably never will.

I have had 0 issues with Win11 Pro to date, with any sim. I never saw the “Holographic Shell” VR issues on my system either, but did institute a batch file to shut it down every boot JIC…

No problems except the Holoshell thing for me in Win11 too.

Win 11 is Not optimized for gaming for the moment.
From my test and friend test, we lost 10% performance with win 11 compare to win10.Let win 11 do his crisis.

@airtex2019 any idea where you heard that about the Saitek stuff? That’s honestly my biggest concern about Windows 11 since I love my X65Fs. The X-56 will continue to work since it’s supported by Logitech, but I also use a tore down AV8R as a switch/analog axis box and it runs off SST too.

Windows 11 on a new pc here;
no problem with Saitek Pro pedals. -
I received Windows 11 as a surprise instead of the last half-yearly update of Windows 10…
Existing installations of BMS continued to work without any errors.
A new 4.37 on a fresh Windows 11 will work fine. -

I believe it’s X52 specific. (Maybe even X52 Pro specific?) I don’t have one… was just following along with a few threads.

For those who have problem with Saitek software in win11, use UCR (universal control remapper) https://github.com/Snoothy/UCR#downloads for mini joystick type analog axes. In the UCR they create a virtual joystick and remap the axes from one side to the other. Then they go to AL (alternative launcher) and assign the remapped axes or buttons, always having UCR open and intermediary with the profile saved and loaded. I own a x52 pro and x56 rhino and when i used them i never used saitek software. Now I fly with the keyboard (crucify me I deserve it)
