Comms Menu Aid

@Todd1215 these work in Openkneeboard? How do you access these aside from Openkneeboard’s own “tabs”?
-
Beautiful!!
Just one small thing. There is no
Request Overhead Approach Heavy
, I guess if you are heavy (with ordnance) you’d want to be doing less manoeuvring. -
@CriticalMass I suppose you are right on that point - the BMS Radios Menu doesn’t have an entry for that one…
-
@CriticalMass Hmm you are correct and makes sense. I will make the correction. Thanks for the input.
-
@Atlas Using in open kneeboard you have two methods. If you have a compatible drawing tablet you can just use the pen to click the tabs , or if you don’t have one you can map HOTAS buttons to next page or previous page and then navigate back and forth through the document that way. It’s the same thing if you where to use the new BMS checklist for tablets. There’s links you can click to jump to the proper section or just page through the document.
-
@airtex2019 I use VoiceAttack and AVCS for Falcon BMS.
-
@Todd1215 I don’t have a tablet. Can you please elaborate more on that other method you’re describing?
-
@Atlas goto Openkneeboard documentation look at getting started. it talks a little about bindings. If you open the app and go to settings->Input you will see that it shows your HOTAS devices. There you can bind buttons to show / hide the in game window, page through the docs or change to different docs.
-
@Todd1215 Yes so in the bindings window, it can only let you go to next tab or previous tab…
Is there a way, for example, to go from the ATC section of your kneeboard to the Flight section without having to go through AWACS - WINGMAN - ELEMENT to get to Flight?
-
@Atlas I want to know the same,
I divided the checklist pdf in 3 parts (pre-engine start, start flow and emercencies) and added to 3 different custom tabs in OpenKneeboard. But the EP part is arranged in a way that it is not fast and not easy to navigate. So is there a way in openkneeboard to create tabs and quickly navigate to it, or to interact with the links in the document directly in game?
I don’t have a physical pen tab, but I use a razer usb device for moving between pages and tabs -
@Atlas Only with a compatible tablet and pen
-
@Todd1215 Thanks for confirming! Can you tell me what tablet you’re using?
-
@Todd1215 Nice work on this. This Menu Aid will definitely come in handy - Thanks for posting
-
@Atlas I use a WACOM Intuos BT
-
