- make an CD image in machine that has CD drive
or - buy digital copy (on GOG or Steam or…)

@SoBad remember it is miracle courtesy of the app-compat team in Redmond that the 1998 setup.exe (with 16-bit x86 stub!) still starts or works. and even then, it gets very confused when it probes for DX3 or whatever graphics card, and sees your 64-bit, DX12-era drivers… so you have to boot into safe-mode without 3p drivers to actually use it
I would not invest even a moment of time or effort, ripping it to ISO and copying onto USB thumb drive. it will probably stop working entirely, someday soon, without warning
I recommend paying $10 to GoG for a modern 32-bit installer… put that on USB stick for safekeeping.
It still appears available, at the moment I write this, but rumor is it may go away soon.

+1 og GoG version, it’s nice backup, has no drm and works without any hassles.
I think it’ll stay there for quite a while. It was supposed to be delisted due to IP owner change. But it seem to be resolved by now.
