Problem with Ch Manager and Win 11
-
@igorry Did you check that other Win10 CH thread…?
They say something about disabling Microsoft store.
If you go into your task manager and shut down the Windows Store your CH Manager will work like in Win 7 of XP…! You will have to do this each time you start up Win 10
Maybe the same probs are happening in Win 11…?
Anyway, there are a few suggestions in that Win10 thread (not far below this thread) that you could try out.

You can disable MS Store but I believe you won’t easily get it back. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/disable-microsoft-store-in-windows-11-home/f0141860-fc99-4ce9-8d37-bb2e90d4b6f5

Have been running Version 4.50 on Windows 11 and works fine.
Try running the program as Administrator if not doing so.
Does the download button grey out if you create a new map.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I have tried them all, admin, compatibility to win 7 or vista, kill off microsoft store but to no avail.
In my old computer which was originally win 7, my CH control manager worked fine. Then it was upgraded to win 10 and then even to win 11, (this is not a new install but upgrading install, my CH control manager works fine even in win 11. However the problem now is a new install of win 11 to a new computer and install of ch manager 4.55. (not 4.51) to a new computer. This won’t worked.
Guess I have to try mapping my controllers to the BMS key file and learn how to use the dx approach.

Use the new Alternative Launcher and be done with Ctrl Manager. It has not been supported for many years and is just not worth jumping through any hoops for. You can set up a Shifted button to double your DX button count, should have plenty to work with!

As an alternative to the CH manager, you can also work with the program “Joystick gremlin”…offers at least as many programming possibilities.

I am done with ch manager and started to use the alternate launcher. I have opened the bms-full key file and started to map my hotas by clicking on the buttons/hats/trigger to the commands in the key file that I want. After that I renamed the bms full key file.
As a result I have a map every button for the CH fighter stick and pro throttle in this way except for the index finger button on the CH fighter stick. Not sure why this button would not be map to command. It just give a message, no function assigned. And this button cycle through three button numbers. 17, 18, 19.
Can someone help me by showing how to set up the shifted button? I have mapped the pinky shift (dx) to the pinky button. However when I hold the pinky button and click one of the hats inorder to have a shifted key, I am not able to do it. Example the trigger button is second detent. However pressing the pinky and trigger, I want a first detent. Instead the pinky button became the first detent replacing the pinky shift (dx) command. Any pointers to how to set up a shifted button?

@igorry I have the same problem with setting a shift setup.

@igorry I’m talking out of memory and not out of the controls in front of me but as I remember you assign the dx shift first then add the dx shift to the map along with the button you want to shift.
