Nevada for BMS 4.37.XX
-
Update:
It has been reported that CTD are happening during the Red Dawn and Red Dragon campaigns. Ed has helped me troubleshoot the the issues down to the F-35A. I have edited the camp files and edited out the F-35A and replaced the aircraft with the F-16-50. This seems to have fixed all of the CTD issuers. Here are the modified cam files:
[https://www.mediafire.com/file/e6ay2xdz32r1veb/Nevada_Fix.zip/file](link url) Extract the two cam files and place them into your Add-on Nevada\Campaign folder and overwrite the existing campaigns.Secondly, folks have reported they are having issues with tail strikes on the F/A-18E/F fighters during takeoff from runways. The reason for that is that the trim on the Superhornet is set for a nose high attitude that would be normally used for a carrier takeoff. When flying these aircraft from runways, I recommend you push the trim down button about four pushes. This should give the aircraft a more normal takeoff trim and prevent tail strikes. The Classic Hornet, F/A-18C/D are unaffected.
Gentlemen, our Mafia Team is excited to release Nevada for latest version of 4.37. Big thanks for Demer928 who originally built the terrain for BMS. I also want to give Eddropper a huge thank you. These theatres are no way my own work alone: they are a huge collaboration of authors, some unknown who have freely provided material. It is Ed, who does the magic and incorporates this work in the theatre so that I have the amazing base to make my campaigns shine. I want to give a special hats off to Viacom. He spent this weekend editing the Tekhelet Campaign in order to make it more accurate with correct squadron numbers and aircraft combinations as found in the real IDF. I want to give a big thanks to Jackal who helped spot and give me fixes for several bugs found in the Eurowar Campaign. Finally, I want to give a tip of my hat to CCC, Mike Rivers, Thoarek, and many other unknown contributors to the theatre.
Now for the download link: [https://www.mediafire.com/file/xbnu7gbyoaqdm2b/Nevada_OFM_1.7.4.exe/file](link url)
Please remove the previous version of Nevada for BMS 4.37. It is compatible with this version. Also, ignore any virus warnings, they are false flags.
Update notes:
Though Eurowar and Tekhelet have received major changes. The biggest changes are for the final two campaigns. The X-Plane campaign has been replaced with a new Red Dawn Campaign. In this campaign Russia has invaded the United States and conquered hug swaths of the Pacific Northwest. The beleaguered American forces from all four services struggle to fight a final battle in the American Southwest. This is a hard campaign against a well equipped Modern Russian Air Force.
The final campaign is Dragon’s Jaw where the People’s Liberation Army/Air Force has successfully invaded Taiwan and moved across the Pacific to capture the United States and Canadian West Coast. China’s most advanced fighters will now fight with remaining US Forces in the Southwest Desert. Like Red Dawn this is a difficult campaign, but a little less difficult than Red Dawn due to the Chinese Air Force Aircraft composition.
A final word. The land grab campaigns suffered some issues when they were converted to 4.37. I have gone through all of the land grab campaigns and fixed the ground units. With these changes, the campaigns should run smoother and the campaign will be much more winnable.

Excellent, thanks brother.

@Chuckles
You are always until too kind to me, I did almost nothing if compared to the whole hard work spent here by you and all the amazing team joined this time again.To all of you, now, Gentlemen.
Nevada is not a drilling/exercise theater only, and you will realize that very soon.
We only wish for you it will happen not always at your own expenses. That was our purpose, at least.Have great fun “up there”, most of all.
With best regards.

Good Day, All. I am very happy to present a Pak of custom TE’s made by Brother Jackal. You just drop them into the Nevada campaign folder and enjoy!

Nevada? For “training”, mate?
I wouldn’t be sure too much about this, if I were you.Thanks for your kind appreciation, can’t await to learn your impressions about - but please don’t forget to make good use of that “ppt.ini”.
It had been dropped there not by chance, you know…With best regards.

Maybe it’s because I live out here and have watched jets fly over my head at Fallon and Nellis, but I take the same attitude. It’s not unusual for me to do a mission 3 or 4 times, something I don’t do as much in other Theaters. The cool thing is that the BMS campaign engine keeps the mission from being “canned”

If so, be prepared to do even more with those (in)famous ones created by me, then.
Fly them always worried.
With best regards.

Not “stupid” as it might seem, mate.
You are the first one who ever asked, IIRC:
It’s needed to define the kind of a pre-planned threat or point or airbase shown on the 2D map - i.e. that one opening before flying a mission or a campaign.
Most useful if you are used to brief before flying, you know.If you should need to learn more about this matter, please feel always free to ask.
We will be ready to try and do our worst to answer.With best regards.

@Jackal Thank you Is it right just to replace the original one in the campaigns folder?
Or do i have to do some fancy stuff in the Mission Commander or something? (I haven‘t been to much into theese things). -
@Bastlwastl Hi. When Brother Jackal sends us his TE’s, we test them, particularly ppt, for compatibility with the base Theater in question. I personally tested the TE/ppt for Nevada and had no issues. So, yes, you can simply replace the one in the Campaign folder. However, as with all files swaps, we recommend you backup the stock ppt.

A little note (not intended to be a remark, absolutely!) here: it’s not necessary in this case, because I made the new “ppt.ini” just to replace the original one, not fitting, to my personal advise, to this theater’s purpose.
But anyone feel free to do that, if he likes so.
@Bastlwastl
Glad if you appreciated (and used, most of all) my little contribution and effort. But please don’t waste time with involving even MC in such matters - all is more simple than what you’re thinking, you know.
From my little experience, what is really important is saving those PPTs you have put in the 2D map at the end of your briefing in your mission cartridge, to get that data after the takeoff, i.e. in flight, at hand.Just my one little cent.
With best regards to all.

Thank you again
Thank you for your detailed answer, so actually i don’t need to overwrite the original file (but i can) and i just put it in the briefing at the end?
I am not yet that deep into BMS, but i am learning
Please don’t worry, dear mate - and the choice is yours here, please feel free to do anything you might want.
Let’s say so, then:- backup the original ppt and save in some safe place first;
- take mine and put it in the Campaign directory, so it can be loaded each time you open a mission or Mission Editor as well;
- make some tries and learn how to use it to plan a mission (in a campaign too) or simply a flight, making all the menaces,objectives, places and kind of action of your interest evident;
- be careful: you don’t want to fill the map up with a two hundred signs, or you might be driven in confusion, to say the least;
- fly that mission, taking a good eye to your MFD and paying attention to what is shown in it. You can find all the pre-planned treats you inserted there.
If you found mine useful (let’s hope so), keep it.
If not, revert to the original one.Hope this helped you a little. Never, ever be afraid to check and test any matter, tool or utility coming “new” to you, or making errors: think that you are able to learn from all those a lot.
Good luck, and with best regards.

Please don’t mention it at all, dear mate.
Only glad if I helped you a little, that’s all.
It would be most useful, for me, if I could learn something as your feedback at its due time, of course - no one bothered to do it until now, and that’s no good as a sign at all, you know.Good luck and with best regards.

We have had crashes in the dogfight module in Nevada. No logs unfortunately.
