-
@jack333 ok I’ll take a look tonight
-
@jack333 Install packs re-uploaded with the Litening Pod fix. To fix, re-download the pack and re-install it. Make sure to de-activate it first.

Hi @cougar56th
Which f16s of janhas included in this pack?
Im asking because some country specific ones would conflict.
Im after the Turkish ones and all the US modelsEdit: So the Turkish ones were missing. i tried adding the skins to the jsgme folder since I thought models are already in but it didn’t worked. should i add models also ? will it work ? need some help with this
Also it seems like afm and other aircraft data from janhas site is different than the ones inside this modpack. some values are different.
This is from f16c52+ vft haf.dat
Left one is from the modpack and right one is from janhas website.

F-16I without CFT
KF-16C Block 52
Pylons, Pods and Fuel Tanks
Air Launched Weapons PackThe HAF F-16s I might have used the older 4.36 variants and edited the data files for 4.37. I do not remember. Either way they are in there. The PXIII and PXIV he has not released for 4.37 yet but the main change would be the data file to make it compatible with 4.37
Since the Turkish F-16s are not default to the database, you will have to add them manually or replace a default model with the turkish model.

@cougar56th After converting the Turkish model to bml format using editor, and adding the models /skins to your modpack made it work. Should I also update afm and .dat files for HAF 52+ with the ones that came from janhas site ? there seems like couple of differences that would effect jets performance
-
@SyntaxErol if it goes with the Turkish jet then use that data file
-
@cougar56th Thanks.
One last thing that crosses my mind, are the janhas skins have the features that came with the u3 (like partial pbr support afaik)
For some reason modded skins seem to me more flat in different light conditions compared to official u3 ones but i might be tripping. I know very little about modelling and textures to judge things. -
Thank you for all you do!
You help all of us old folks who have a hard time with a lot of this new stuff. -

Depends on the layers. If you just paint over a dds then yes it will look very flat. If you use the PSD layers properly then no. No matter what the version.
-
@Icarus which one is the case with the current janhas skins from the site you think? They were done pre u3 afaik
-
@SyntaxErol IDK what Jan Has does. I would guess he does not paint over dds. His skins look fine to me. And what is a ‘modded skin” anyway.
-
@Icarus by modded i meant anything but the default ones but yeah they seem fine.

extremely dumb question: why does the JanHas model(s) include a specific command for the use of the NVG’s, and why does it use the non-existing VTOL capabilities of the F-16?
I always disable it in the dat files in order to hide the “nozzle position” label in the UI without being forced to hide everything else, but ofc the “standard” NVG mode of the helmet still works so I never bothered trying it myself. What does the JanHas implementation of NVG’s does in addition to the BMS one?
-
@CloudWallace1981 Jan Has gives .dat file option not to use it. I believe it is a limitation that makes him do that for NVG/VTOL.

Hi All,
Just need some ideas on this issue: I’ve updated U3 and relative F16 LV7.3 and now this is what I see. It happens on Janhas Blk 52 pack I’ve installed, meanwhile std versions are ok. Ideas ? Thank you in advance -
@Coral36 did you install what I uploaded and got this error or is it something you installed
-
check 8042.dds file isn’t correct? or lost it? in your C:\Falcon BMS 4.37\Data\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj

Hi Cougar; no other actions, just updated to U3, then Korea JH LV7.3 F-16 with ALW. With U3 the bk52 outside textures wasn’t correct, with LV7.3 everything ok but the HUD

mmmh…8042.dds is missing. Should it place in std KoreaObj directory ?

Yes, that’s right
