Good Day, All. Yesterday we completed the database conversion, so Theaters will coming out soon.

Good Day, All. Back at the deskâŚ
Skorp, your votes are received .
For the First Wave of U3 Theaters the plan ATM is to aim for those most downloaded from the OFM Discord. That list is OFMKTO,OFM-Balkans,Nevada,Nordic,MidEast, and Taiwan.
Work on the Theaters continues. As previously discussed, the LOD to BML conversion was completed. Weâre still having a some issues getting everything to work. Weâre having a meeting on this tonight, so I should have more details soon. -
Hereâs a pleasant update⌠We are now pre-release testing both OFM- Nevada and MidEast , the first of the lot.
Another piece of good news is we think our new database also addresses the periodic CTDâs we saw at times in U2
There are a couple of other things of note. First, we have decided to release with the stock BMS flight model.
Secondly, the early releases may have the new Hornet and other new avionics disabled. If so, youâll be able to go into x/4.37.3/user/Config/Falcon BMS.cfg and reengage them The jets work air-to-air. However, right now A/G weapons requiring powering on wonât release. We hate to do it, and weâre going to continue testing pre- and post-releases. -
Good Day, All.
Todayâs update is about OFM Theaters. At the moment weâre doing a triple check on our new database, which should be done by the weekend. Once weâre 100% sure on the db, we can get the Theaters out quickly, as in less then â3-4 Mafia Weeksâ .I have been flying Nevada for days and Kuriles since yesterday with no issues.
The release schedule is still roughly the same, although Kuriles will be first ( someone made us an offer we couldnât refuse) . Then, weâll do the Big 6 (those with most downloads in U2),that were mentioned in the last post.
We also had some discussion as to whether to make U3 versions of all our Theaters, even those not downloaded a lot in U2 . We have decided to carry on and keep making them as long as we can make them work.
Our U3 Theaters will mainly be about stability in U3 (as in ctd prevention), but will have evolving changes as we go along. For example, we couldnât get the EF-jet familyâs cockpit to work, so ATM they will have a Viper pits. Plus, some Theaters may have campaign changes. All will have mirror fixes for the Hornet/Super Hornet.
Speaking of the H/SH, as well as F-4 and Tornado, they currently will default to their new WIP avionics. However, the included README will have simple instructions on how to âdisengageâ the new avionics. Meanwhile, we will continue to explore working with the new avionics, especially in the H/SH. You can read about that in âThe New Hornetâ thread over in General.
One thing we are excited about has to do with something called typeac. It is a value in the jetâs flight model file that has a big effect on itâs performance. In the past we had the obstacle that to get the auto throttle , manual flaps, etc. to work(very useful landing on a carrier) , the typeac you had to use seemed to limit some performance parameters. Now, while this is somewhat seat-of-the-pants, it seems that someone did some good work on typeac 9 , as comes stock in the U3 F-18C. T9 also has been found to work in the Super Hornet and F-35 as well. So, the current F-18C,E,F,and F-35C will come with this installed..

Good Day, All.
Testing on the U3 OFM database continues. Weâre investing the time to make sure itâs stable. Then, once weâre sure about the db, the actual Theater production is the âeasyâ part.
We have noticed a couple of ctds when flying some more uncommon jets with Hornet pits, when set g_bEnableWIPF18Avionics is set to 1. In other words, when the new avionics is âturned onâ. Weâre not seeing it when new avs are âoffâ. My own personal testing has largely been in the F-18C and E and I havenât seen significant ctd, with new avs on or off.
Speaking of the Super Hornet, we have the U3 version working. -
Good Day, All.
This update is about our Theater. AS you may have seen, OFM Nevada was put out yesterday. Brothers Chuckles and Tomcat2 are working on a new (for us) Iran Theater. Iâm very excited about that. Chuckles is our Campaign Guru, both in terms of refining them and making them work. T2 is working on the ATC.
Our order of Theater release is somewhat fluid. Now the the database is set, weâre looking at all our Theaters with an âok, whoâs nextâ eye. We remain generally set on the Big 6 first mentioned above, but there are variables. The Iran campaign work takes time, for example. Plus, we donât want to steal Spogoroâs "thunder with his excellent Middle East 128, so that may bump our MidEast down a bit. But donât worry, it wonât be that long. I was surprised how many downloads we got on ME, especially as it hasnât been out long. Plus, we have to see how Iran goes. As above, gotta love the variables
Itâs fairly safe to say OFMKTO, OFM-Balkans, Nordic, and Taiwan will be out soon, though once again that depends on any potential campaign work. -
Good Day, All
Today was an interesting day for us. We had found an issue with some of our more esoteric jets that use the Hornet pit, when the new Hornet avionics were turned on. There were no issues when the new avâs were turned off. Plus, some had non-functional missing mirrors. So we addressed these issues.
Meanwhile, we are beta-testing OFM-MidEast 128, plus I updated Viet Nam for my own âcollectionâ. If anyone wants 'Nam let us know here and we can get it to you. A good thing about MidE and Nam is that some of the campaigns are appropriate for old school AG ordinance, so they make good test ranges for the new Hornet Avâs
OFMKTO and OFM-B should be out soon, as well.
Weâve been ,I guess you can say, conservative with our rate of Theater release. Weâve been waiting a bit for feedback from you about any bugs. Itâs easier to fix database issues then put out multiple theaters rather then vice versa. Happily, feedback has been positive. -
Good Day, All
Theater Updates-1) OFM- Balkans is done and will be released within the hour.
2) A new to BMS OFM Iran is in final testing , and Brother Chuckles will be handling that release to the Forum.
3) In the previous post, we had talked about Hornet-pitted jets issues when the new avionics was turned on. That has been fixed. Plus, some jets were lacking mirrors. Both fixes are in OFM-B and an OFM-Nevada Hotfix will be out shortly(probably tomorrow) to address that
4) After that, away we go⌠Kuriles and OFM-Mideast are done. Weâve had requests for Nordic, so thatâs toward the top of the list. -
Good Day, All.
We had previously discussed the issue with some of our jets that use the Hornet pit, when the new Hornet avionics were turned on. There were no issues when the new avâs were turned off. Plus, some had non-functional mirrors.
There is now a Hotfix posted in the Nevada thread. -
Good Day, All,
Back from the DezâŚ
As youâve probably noticed, Brother Chuckles released OFM-Kuriles today.
More coming soon⌠-
Good Day, All.
OFMKTO and OFM Kuwait are out for 4.37.3. -
Good Day. All
OFM Panama is out. There are a couple of new things in the database, the new F-15C pit, more jets get cockpit mirrors, fixes for Rapier missile ,and the F-18E loadout with the AWW-13 pod.
We had talked previously about us releasing what we call the Big 6 (most downloaded) Theaters first . Well, Taiwan is in the pipeline and we have a new goodie for Nordic thatâs being worked on . -
Good Day, All, and Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it. Here is an update for OFM-Iran. It contains weather fixes and disables the campaigns not currently in use. Plus, additions and/or fixes for YF-23,F-18C/E,F35C, adds the F-15c pit , and the UMF UAV. Basically, it brings Iran up to our current OFM 2.3.1 database https://www.mediafire.com/file/j4joqknj3wz2ddk/Iran_2.3.1_updater.exe/file

Good Day, All
OFM Nordic is outâŚ

Good Day, All.
This update is about the F-15C in OFM Theaters. As that jet is new to us, we appreciate your feedback on any bugs you may find.
At present youâve reported 1)afterburner works but plume not visible. Weâre scratching our heads a bit on that one, as it works in the stock KTO
2) Bombs loaded on the CFTâs work but arenât visible. The fix for this already built into Nordic. For previous theaters the fix is https://www.mediafire.com/file/0hjkhv302rpe7lz/F15_strike_fix_Models_folder.rar/fileSo, please report any other issues here. Include which Theater , and if possible if youâre seeing it in stock KTO

Good Day, All.
Back from the Dez , and with good newsâŚ
OFM Taiwan has been out for awhile https://forum.falcon-bms.com/topic/26248/taiwan-theater-4-37-u3
Plus, we have been bug hunting. Weâve noticed some of the jetâs 'burner plumes either didnât look right, or werenât visible at all.
As you may have noticed, jets with internal IRSTâs have long been plagued by masking issues. We found a fix. Weâre very excited about this one.
Both fixes will be coming to you shortly -
Good Day, All
We continue to work on the refinements weâve been talking about in recent posts. Weâve discussed how to get them to you. The current plan seems to be to make a Hotfix Installer. There was even discussion to make one that will work in all out Theaters.
