Ice’s Falcon BMS Profile Updated for BMS 4.37
-
@linknet Just to keep You updated.
After several tests, the new Helios version finaly gaves me a lot of problems; so I decided to revert to Helios.1.6.6020.0.Problem solved!
Regards

The latest Helios version 1.6.6030.1 is throwing an exception to the apostrophe in the profile name. So until this is fixed just rename the profile without the apostrophe.
The problem has been fixed for the next version of Helios.

The first post has been updated with the latest version.
Please note the requirement for BMS Falcon 4.37 U3 and Helios Version 1.6.6040.3 or later.
Important: After installation run C:\Bin\UnblockFiles.exe to unblock all files.- Updated for BMS Falcon 4.37 U3 and compatible with Helios version 1.6.6040.3 or later. Note: Not compatible with earlier Helios versions.
- Updated the key file to include the latest callback changes.
- Reworked the Threat Warning Prime panel to fix a few issues.
- Corrected various switch positions according to the aircraft start up mode.

@linknet - I’m getting this pop-up when I start the latest new profile. (AutoIt Error?)
I’m on the newest Helios and everything seems to work OK, but this
shows up when I start the profile in Control Center, then again when BMS starts up.
Any ideas of what might be wrong? -
@Dan
Once the AutoIt source files are compiled the line numbers become meaningless, so no clue there.The C:\Bin folder contents haven’t changed for this version and in fact have been the same for several previous versions. So if everything was working before this update then possibly one of the files is corrupt or, more likely, still blocked by windows.
First try running the UnblockFiles utility in the C:\Bin folder which will probably solve the issue. If this doesn’t fix it then download the profile again and completely delete and replace the C:\Bin folder together with running the UnblockFiles utility.

@linknet thank You for the update!

@linknet The day I feared has arrived
I use a modified version of your profile to just display the ICP, DED and RWR to be displayed onto a 10" tablet. I would post it here but I’m not one for stepping on other people’s fine work (but here’s a screenshot).
That being said, is there a way I can massage my profile to pick up the new stuff or is it a redo with your new profile updates?
-
@CriticalMass why do you have the RTT “X” displayed AND the MFD readout? I get the “X” only when no MFD is being displayed, like during testing for placement… I use a modified profile also, don’t believe it is effected by the update…
-
@CriticalMass
The only item in there that has changed is the TWP panel. I think that it is self contained and there are no other references within the profile so you should be able to copy and paste it into your profile. Select it as below and then copy and paste and then resize. -
@Icer Oh, no idea. I did have the RTT Client enabled as I had the “hidden” in the profile (it was giving me errors so I disabled it and removed the offending elements completely) and rendered by the BMS RTTRemote tool.
-
@linknet So I can copy across profiles? Is that two instances of the profile editor?

Absolutely! That’s how I “make” mine. One window with my new profile, one window with the stuff I steal and copy/paste over…

@Icer TIL

Just be sure everything is unlocked/showing (IIRC). It’s amazingly fast and easy. The MFDs I use RTT in Helios (get a stutter/delay with pure Helios MFDS)…

@linknet
Apparently, the problem was that Windows 11, by default, seems to block downloaded files.
Once I checked “unblock” for the “UnblockFiles.exe”, everything worked perfectly!
Thanks! -
@Dan
Yes, I know.That’s why the Setup Guide includes this:

Hi Linknet, thx for the update, all the previous positions mismatch has been fixed. I’ve just finished a few flights and I think there is one more glitch about the fuel gauge. It’s very easy to notice on the new IFF intercept TE, right from the start of the mission, the two F/R needles mismatch with each other. In 3D it’s about 2/3, while in Helios it’s to the full limit.

When you say that the two needles mismatch with each other I’m not quite sure how to interpret that. The F/R and A/L needles aren’t supposed to match each other only to show the front and rear fuel quantities which aren’t necessarily the same.
Or are you saying that the F/R needle in the Sim doesn’t match the F/R needle in Helios. Easy way to check if the needles are correct is to open the CPD Panel and select the Fuel page. The position of the needles should compare with the readings for AL and FR which are read directly from shared memory.

@linknet
Check this up, I took a picture at the start of the TE. I didn’t check the digital readout in the CFD though. I’m indeed talking about the 2 F/R needles, one from the cockpit and another in Helios. -
@jacqueslees
Which TE is this exactly?
