Changing Time with Mission Commander
-
I made a copy of the default refueling training TE. I am making it into a night AAR. Using Mission Commander I found all of the packages and increased each package’s TO time by 7 hours.
When changing the TO times - is there a way to change everything at once instead of modifying each package individually?This worked, but I then had to wait 7 minutes in real world time to count down before I could takeoff ( I chose runway, instead of taxi or ramp). So there is another time - that I need to adjust as well. Where is that time edited?
Also, this was a copy of the default AAR - so I should have started in-the-air, not even with the TO options…
How can I get it set back up for starting in the air?Thanks.

Yup

@jcook Roll the clock forward and save it.

Okay. Thanks guys.

@jcook
AP - Those steps did not change the time.Currently Local time is 16:40. I use your technique to add 4 hours Go-Apply-Save and re-enter BMS and my TE, time is still 16:40.
What am I missing here?

@jcook Id just use TE builder and make a new one as it will take less time. BTW, you need to roll the time of all the flights. Otherwise if you just roll the main clock all the flights will be over at night time.

I have a particular TE designed to allow me to practice an IFR approach. I have everything setup the way I need it, but I also want a version of it taking place at night, which is why I wanted to move the clock forward 4 hours on the copy I made of the TE. Seems like Mission Commander should be able to do this.
Recreating it isn’t what I want to do - since I won’t be an exact copy. Recreating it as a new TE would definitely take longer. Also, There is only one F16 in the TE - nothing else.

@jcook If you move the clock forward the takeoff times will be too early. You need to move the takeoff times of allyour flights by 4 hours too. Mission Commander can do that.

@Icarus
yup. Tried that. What i am missing is where specifically to change things. I’ve tried a number of variations including the suggestions above in this post. I still am missing something. -
@jcook You change the times of flights in the units tab.

@jcook Open your Mission in TE BUILDER [EDIT] and save it under a different name, then you can modify it by rolling the clock forward or back. For example if you intend to take off at 7:00pm, roll the game clock forward to 19:00:00 and then set your take off time to 19:20:00. You dont need Mission Commander to do that at all, unless you enjoy pain. These custom TE’s should all appear under the Saved tab of Tactical Engagements.
I’ve even taken the original TE Missions under “TRAINING” saved those and then modified them to suit multi-ship flights so I can fly them on the server to train others online. Why do all that work when most of its been done already, you just modify them to suit.
I just edited one of my TE so the flight takes off at 19:20:00, it took a whole minute.

@Icarus ok. Thanks, i will try that.

@Kavelenko
Ok. That works now.
I definitely was not understanding the two places I needed to change the time. The pictures helped.
Thanks! -
@jcook Excellent!
