BMS2Target: BMS to Thrustmaster HOTAS LED Controller (Viper Mission Pack and Viper Panel)
-
@MailMan
Short answer: Yes, in fact that is the preferred method.From the original post: "The TARGET script does not configure your ViperTQS for use with BMS. It merely controls the LEDs of the ViperTQS. If you are using a TARGET script to map your device to BMS, I advise you to use the Alternative Launcher instead. "

Is there any way the lights can LED’s can be used without having to use Target?
or would that require further development of the AL itself?Regards,
Gary

@Gary
Short answer: Thrustmaster LEDs can only be controlled using TARGET or Target scripts.The LEDs on the Thrustmaster sticks/TQS are proprietary to Thrustmaster. Only Thrustmaster proprietary software (i.e., T.A.R.G.E.T.) or TARGET scripting can control their function. The LEDs have nothing to do with the BMS Alternate Launcher - AL cannot control the output of Thrustmaster LEDs.
The brilliance of @scubapics coding is that he was able to monitor Falcon BMS active memory to determine when certain effects happen during flight, and pass the fact that those events happened to the TARGET script, which tells the Thrustmaster LEDs what to do when those events happen.

Hello is there any ready profile to load with target for viper panel?
I am facing an issue I cannot map all of the buttons
For example AUTOPILOT OFF -
@spserg the best way to do it is via the BMS launcher (formerly known as Alternative Launcher). For some switches you have to use the release function to make them work.
-
@spserg as skippermike said, use the BMS Launcher tool to map buttons to simulation controls.
-
@skippermike thank you for your answer I can’t even do it from alternative launcher
-
@Tomcattwo where can I find a target script for use with Viber panel?
-
-
@spserg Please start a new thread. It’s much more likely that more people will see your request if you make a new post with an appropriate subject as this isn’t the right subject for your enquiry.
-
@scubapics ok sorry I am not familiar

@spserg
After running Viper TQS in the Target Script Editor, I am getting the following error:
Run Time Error: Symbol not found. Viper TQS in main ( line 74 in ViperTQSLEDSync.tmcI have not used Tarrget in a long time, so I know Im screwing something up, but I have no clue what I am doing. And thank you for taking the time to type out all of those directions.

Make sure you are using the latest version of TARGET. Old versions of the software are unaware of later hardware.

@scubapics Thanks scuba. I did that, and I do get through the first step, but for some reason, after running the BMS2Target.exe executable, I am having an issue.
I get the connect to TARGET Screen, and Connected to Falcon BMS, but then it just is not working. I run BMS, test the landing gear, but the lights dont turn on, and when I quit the game, I dont see the executable screen to see any messages. I know that when I was running BMS and checked the executable, I was not see Nose Gear and all of that. Not sure what I am screwing up now.

@scubapics
So I have ensured that I am using the latest Target Software, all is good when I run the TQS LEDS Sync in Target. WHen I run BMS2Target, it comes up, U get Cibbected ti TAREGET and then it shuts down. This happens whether or not BMS is running.Do I need to put the BMS2Target exe. in a certain folder?

Are you testing with a TE ? If so the F-16 Type might not match, at the moment only the following Typs are supported:
F-16 CM Blk 40
F-16 CM Blk 50
F-16 CM Blk 52
F-16 DM Blk 52and what you can do to be sure is that you start the App with Admin rights.
For the location, i have just copied it on the Desktop.
And its normal that after exiting BMS the App (BMS2Target) shuts down
-
@Echo
Good idea on admin rights. I will check it.
I’m glad I can put the program on desktop. I will put it on the bottom task bar. I have everything organized so I remember to click all the stuff, like track it, and andes jet seat.
And yes, I was just testing it in the navigation and landing training missions, but it would close within a few seconds, before I could even start BMS, so that might be an admin rights issue.Thanks Echo.
-
if you using the TE as you mentioned then it wont gonna work because this is the F-16 with double seats and this isn’t supported i mean the type which is used in the TE
Start a campanie or maybe a dogfight
-
@Echo Sounds like a good plan! Thanks.
