Batallion status

Is the battalion located at a base?? Or in a town? These are the logical explanations. Also make sure its the same battalion. Battalions like to park on top of one another, therefore you may see another battalion in the same brigade.
If “No” to either then just consider the campaign engine is not perfect. The re-supply code is one that isn’t the best.

@JollyFE
Yes, there was another Battalion (Merkava) that was destroyed (0%).
The two were near a city.
I still can’t destroy the second Bat., after several hits, with units (Leopards) being destroyed and then respawning out of nowhere! -

@JollyFE
Why do you think that the resupply code is not good?
People forget that the DC in Falcon fullfills one single purpose: keep generating missions so that the Player can join (almost) any mission any time-> need for missions!To accomplish that, it is like the time axis of a campaign is strongly compressed. What would take days to happen, takes a couple of hours.
Battalions are decimated in less than a day due to intense amount of missions but also fully resupplied in half a day, airbases are shut-down by airstrikes but are repaired after few hours many times a day, etc.
To keep with that war on steroids, the supply system is also pumped up, and units are resupplied many times a days in Falcon.So, in that regard, I disagree: IMO the supply in DC works quite ok. The resupply code goes hand to hand with the ATM and GTM that we have.
The question is different IMO: should the campaign be made more realistic?
Would you be willing to fly only two sorties every 24 hours at a given airframe?
Wait half a day to get a mission fragged by the ATM? -
@tiag GREAT DATE. THANKS SR.

I suspected it was resupply. but killing 15 of 30 tanks (confirmed in debrief) and just after landing, checking in 2D the battalion status and counting 27 ones is frustrating !
Thanks all for the answers. Thanks BMS for hours of fun ! -
Give please some thought on the following.
Other day after a MP mission in one large squadron well known in our community I also heard that, “frustrating”. These guys flew a mission and took out (AFAIR) a SA-11 or part of it. These guys landed after a 1-2 hours of action and suddenly that battery was back online.
Not real. Agree. It should take many, many hours, perhaps days or even weeks to get such a battery fully back online.
However, these guys have already fragged another large package for few hours later. MC was used and they put new airframes (since they lost about 1/4 of the F-16s).
Can you see the incongruence here? We, as players, want to fly as often and soon after a mission as possible (fair enough, its a game). But the F4 engine is not allowed to resupply/refuel/replace the units (may happen 1-2 per hour).
I am totally in favor of using real resupply rates, but then we should use real sorties rates, otherwise we are shooting ducks on a barrel.
Take a read here to understand what would mean in practice real sortie rates:

It’d be very interesting, but I fear the campaign engine isn’t up to it?

You guys can play apprentice sorcerers with the Falcon.aii in campaign folder but don’t come complaining if your campaign is broken afterwards…

I do see your point of creating several sorties to re-attack certain targets, but ( and this is my OCD talking) I just see that as being redundant. And Yes, re-attacking targets to ensure they are not effective is a part of standard battle doctrine.Plus I generally do not see a battalion regenerate as quickly as @JetNoise describes. If I attack an armored or mech battalion it will remain at a lower strength percentage, although I tend to create missions with a full force of A-10s, AH-64s and other aircraft just to be thorough.
