Use IA for SA-20 DEAD
-
Hi
I am testing to use AIs when the DEAD flight is not complete (human).
No problem to designate the SA-20 fire radar as target to the AI.I have not found a formation order that moves it laterally several nautical miles away.
The SA-20 has to be fired from quite a distance (70/80 nm), the firing order (HARM) to the AI is not executed immediately
Do you have any ideas, leads or information?
Thanks

@djetdail
Did you try spread followed by several kick-outs? -
No, it’s an idea, this “kick-out”.
I’ll give it a try.Thanks

Why do you need lateral separation? Just curious about tour strategy

@djetdail you can command your second element to change side if you wish to have your whole flight at the same side…not sure anymore if you can get more than 3nm…

@VDK I bet hitting the battery from different azimuths

It works for spacing. cool
For shooting, the AIs probably advance to a distance programmed in BMS.
Can it be modified?Yes, the spacing is to confuse the SA-20. If there are enough HARMs on different azimuths at the same time, the SA-20 won’t have time to turn these launchers.

Cool move! i’ll try that!

IA shooting at 40 NM
it’s hot for them
