also instead of sendig all those u coult just post those pics in a mission thread so that other members are informed… that way all will be in one place as a quick reference and noone can change anything.

Hi there FALCAS. First of all, I really want to thank you for your great tool ,and the continuous support you´re giving.
Now, I have a question:
The new DTC/Targets tab has implemented the nice “targeting” screen I used to use from MC (Tgt area, sketch, and coordinates, some times, no directly over the target). Great to see it implemented in WDP!!!
As I haven´t found any description/video, and with a quick overview, I think that “LOAD/BACKUP” under “Backup LINES” will save and restore whatever we fill in the 100 slots we have, and “Clear all targets” and “Save List as jpg” are self explanatory, but …
…The big question I have is: What the “Save DTC” will do?.. Where those information/lines/data goes? and I´m not sure, either, about what the “Callsign” and “TE” buttons does. Thanks in advance.

Hey Falcas,
I have a problem since updating to 350. Whenever I try to open a mission I get prompted "failed to craete map 2.345656778 (numbers are incorrect btw).
Furhterore is the timer still neccesary for update4? I can load up the ini in campaign via the dtc and the lines/ppt’s and stuff show up in the ui
Thx,

I got the same error as well.

Hi,
Yes, the Load/Backup is for making a backup file that you can use later. Or this file can be given to another user. This way you can make a target list that someone else can use as well.
The “Save DTC” buttons at every tab/place in the program will save your callsign.ini and/or TE.ini. The 100 targets gets saved to the DTC.
At this moment you can create a the list of targets. In the Datacard tab you can find a “Save Datacard” button. When you use this, the Target list gets saved as a JPG (together with all the other cards and maps). This JPG can be printed or you can put them on a tablet or reader.
Why it is saved in the DTC… I can tell you, but then I have to kill you.For the question about the Callsign and TE buttons…
Please read the manual (on the website under Download) or watch these videos.

Hi Slack,
The problem with the map will be solved in the next release.
You are correct about the timer. In update4 you can use the LOAD button in BMS to load the lines/ppts.
I just didn’t remove the timer function yet.Gr Falcas

Bit confused here…Just an honnest anwser will give you the best result, if you don’t know, use NO.
So that is the straight answer… But what does it do.
If you load a mission, WDP is getting 2 different STPTs list to work with.
In the TE.tac/campaign.cam you have the flightplan for the mission. The coordinates are what you see in the BMS UI.
But you might have creates some precision STPTs for the flight you have selected. Those coordinates most porbably are not the same.
Or you have precision STPTs saved, but they are not for the flight you have selected in WDP.
So what the question is: Did you save the DTC for this flight? Is exactly what it asked you.
If you are sure it is for this flight and you answer YES, the coordinates from the DTC are used in WDP.Clear enough?

… The 100 targets gets saved to the DTC.
…Why it is saved in the DTC… I can tell you, but then I have to kill you. Thanks for the answer!
I´ll have to take a look at this “saving to the DTC” because I didn´t dare to test it, yet. Then I may figure out what can we do with them inside BMS UI or while Flying…. but anyway, I feel like dying today, so just in case I don´t find the answer by myself:
How do we access those 100 tgt points in the cockpit? [Kill me!… Kill the Lazy Bastard!!]Keep it up!
And Big time ThX!!! -
Hmmm still no. I believe u must always define where u are… what I mean u ask me: if u saved the DTC… from where? Falcon or WDP? This is the most confusing part for me. Sorry I know I bust your balls but I have a lot in my mind and I work on many different things on the same time and I don’t know why but WDP doesn’t much my paterns and it took me long time to get where I am now thanx to your kind efforts and patience…
As I see it other way why don’t u merge them all the time?
Since they are for the same theater? Now the other way around…
I don’t have anything touched in wdp… Clean install first time open. Loaded my callsign.ini from my Falcon install (Yes still on a network run… (WDP runs on a different laptop and Falcon on a desktop pc) I have Falcon on the laptop also but I go and open the callsign from the desktop… I have share folder and everything seems to work properly)
I open a mission in Falcon I save the DTC I save the mission
Then I go to WDP and I open the mission.
Then comes this question… what should I do? As u say I must say no… right?Second scenario…
I make in WDP some stp’s and some like tacans, friendly or foe sams (I have build a TE where I have those). So they are the saved ones as u call them that I can use for every mission right?
So in Falcon I open an MP TE I save the DTC, I save the mission.
In WDP I open the mission then the question pops up what should I answer to see those? yes? will I also have the changes I just made in my mission, and the TACAN stations I declared earlier in WDP?If I got it right the question should be something like do you want to load and your default WDP saved settings? Maybe the question is the same but it’s confusing for me… I don’t for everyone else (specially newbs… is that clear?).
Why? I’m lost in all those Falcon’s DTC, WDP’s DTC, mission ini callsign ini and I must recall all the time which is which so I don’t fubar… why? cause mostly now I fly online and I don’t have the luxury to have 20+ppl like oooppps guys sorry wait I must reload and redo all those stuff…Edit: More confusing??? I don’t have any general for every mission stuff in WDP made yet (I haven’t got in to that yet) so why does it ask me then? Shouldn’t your app keep track if I have such? Is there a way to make such without WDP? So when it’s clean why does it ask me?

You didn’t get the hint, let me give you another hint.
Trying to figure out how it works with your BMS install is a waste of time as in the version you have it is not included.gr Falcas

“TOUCHE!”
Thanks… You saved me from the paint of futile search for an answer… but throw me to a more deep and dramatic PAIN… the infame and evil pain of the “wait 3 to 4 weeks” for the mighty BMS 4.33!!!
You were right… You killed me!!!
Still, this is going to be a great feature… as everything else. THANKS FALCAS!!!

It does not matter where (BMS/WDP) you have save the DTC. The DTC is just a text file with data in it.
As I see it other way why don’t u merge them all the time?
Since they are for the same theater? This is a good question and is very important to understand how the DTC works. The STPTs, PPTs and Lines in the DTC (Callsign.ini and TE.ini) are for one flight only.
The PPTs and Lines could be the same for all flights, but not the STPTs.
The question is only about the STPTs, the PPTs, Lines and everything else is used from the DTC no matter what you answer to the WDP question.
So let us keep the discussion on the STPTs only for now. What are precision STPTs in the DTC?
Lets step back in time and look at older versions of Falcon (AF)
The precision of a STPT is 1km and this is what is saved in the mission (.tac/.cam)
As 1km is a pretty big step and not nice for pin pointing a building, you need to make it more precise. So this is where the precision STPT comes into play. However, you can NOT save these precision STPT to the *.TAC or *.CAM file.
This also means that the system is designed to make a STPT to a precision STPT, not to add extra STPT to your flightplan!!! (Yes you can, but better not do that)Suppose you have a TE and you saved the DTC for Cowboy1.
It does not matter if you saved the DTC in BMS or WDP as they are written in the *.ini file.
In BMS, now you jump into Serpent1 flight… You are then having STPTs in the UI (and *.tac) for Serpent1 and your DTC has STPTs for Cowboy1… problem.
This is also for WDP. WDP will read the .tac file and has the STPTs for this flight (1km precision). If the DTC is not for the same flight you have a problem. This is the reason WDP will ask you if you saved the dtc for THIS flight.
On top of this, the precision STPTs that you created are not the same as the STPT that are in the mission (.tac)Now the other way around…
As u say I must say no… right? Are you working with the same flight?
You see, it is not about saving the DTC, it is about working with the same flight.Second scenario…
I make in WDP some stp’s and some like tacans, friendly or foe sams (I have build a TE where I have those). So they are the saved ones as u call them that I can use for every mission right?
So in Falcon I open an MP TE I save the DTC, I save the mission.
In WDP I open the mission then the question pops up what should I answer to see those? yes? will I also have the changes I just made in my mission, and the TACAN stations I declared earlier in WDP?As before, the question is asked for the STPTs only.
I am not going to answer the other questions as they are concerning other things.
It better that you understand this part first before we continue. So in short.
- STPTs in the DTC are for one flight only.
- The STPTs in the DTC or the saved mission (*.tac) can be different.
- Its not about if you saved a DTC, but for what flight.

Still can’t see why the question is there… what is the benefit from this question?
Yes the DTC is for this mission… so it loads only the DTC.
No so it loads the same data like previous not from DTC but from the mission file…Either way it will load the same data whatever I choose… Why do I have to answer to a question that either way it will load what it has to load?
I mean always load the mission…

This is not what I wrote. I wrote that it is about the flight. In one mission you might have 1 flight or 10 flights.
The DTC is saved for only that one specific flight, not the mission. No so it loads the same data like previous not from DTC but from the mission file…
Either way it will load the same data whatever I choose… Why do I have to answer to a question that either way it will load what it has to load? The data from the DTC is not the same as in the mission file!!!

Concrete Head…did you “Get It”???..LOL…
Whisper: Flight -
lol nope… yet.
when I said mission I meant flight. we use more mission then flight in my language…
well my thing is why do i have to remember and distinguish all those dtc flight mission weather ini cfg backup load in another mission… Now I sow PPT and I totaly forgot what it stands for. I searched the manual but there is only the PPT no explainaton… oh Lord… I’m totaly loosing it…
They are program related. Still dont see mission relation. This is more confusing and time demanding then the mission itself… (for me).
Anyway as a genuine Pontiac don’t mind me… I got stack again with your wonderful app. I will leave it for now.

I have a question about refusal speeds. Sometimes I get a a refusal speed that’s a couple of knots slower than my rotation or liftoff speed (can’t remember which, but it turns red indicating something ain’t right) even with 13* pitch and full AB. This happens most often with the F-16I+CFTs. I also keep getting a refusal speed of 8kts with the F-16C-30I. Are the Israeli jets not friendly with WDP or am I doing something wrong?
In KTO it works 98% of the time but I will occasionally get a refusal speed in the red. Is it a weight issue?
