I have a question about refusal speeds. Sometimes I get a a refusal speed that’s a couple of knots slower than my rotation or liftoff speed (can’t remember which, but it turns red indicating something ain’t right) even with 13* pitch and full AB. This happens most often with the F-16I+CFTs. I also keep getting a refusal speed of 8kts with the F-16C-30I. Are the Israeli jets not friendly with WDP or am I doing something wrong?
In KTO it works 98% of the time but I will occasionally get a refusal speed in the red. Is it a weight issue?
Im guessing there is something screwy with that jet, it almost always gives me a refusal of 3 knots… maybe it has a setting that is wrong which WDP reads, does some math and comes back with a wrong number because the first number is wrong?
Weight would explain why it happens with CFTs so often then. I’ve had it once or twice with a standard Block 50 as well but I can’t remember what my configuration was.
What about the 8kts refusal speed for the F-16C-40I? That one doesn’t make much sense.

Issue has been found! and Falcas is already fixing it

Hi,
Close, but not 100%.
Refusal does not need to be above rotation speed. You just know that if you are above refusal you will not be able to stop the AC on the runway. You should consider ejection if you are above refusal and you have an engine problem.Does not have to be weight only. It can be a couple of factors, runway lenght, runway condition(wet/dry/ice), wind ect.
Gr Falcas
as far as BMS is concerned, it shouldnt be a problem anyway. I have never had an engine problem on the runway.
any of those factors go into a bravo loading chart, yes, but most of them we cannot change… weight on the other hand, chuck out a passenger - or in BMS, take a little less fuel or less munitions…
You have the same problem if you just got airborne and your engine stops working.
that depends on the RWY - at YBLN, we have a very long RWY… students routinely land twice in a single upwind leg, and I have on two occasions landed three times before taking off without back tracking!
yeah, I over stated it a little - but for a combat jet, you should have the acceleration to be able to refuse after rotate anyway. most big jets get to V1 before rotate…
-
Could you give me an example to reproduce it? Meaning at which airbase and loadout do you get this?
I can not reproduce it so far.Gr Falcas
I guess you don’t need it since you found the issue, but just in case you need the info later on:
Southern Resolve campaign
Ramat-David RWY 26
Fair weather
2x AIM9M
2x AGM65B
2x TK370Gave me a rotation of 156 and a refusal of 8.

You are completely right. However… it would be a cool thing to have more failures in Falcon.
In this case it was actually the runway. In the WDP database, the runway lenght of Ramat David was zero.
And as you can imagine, this will give very strange results in the calculations.
Fixed in the next release, which won’t be long.gr Falcas

I would love to see more failures in falcon. but I guess most people want falcon to be a combat sim, not a procedures trainer. ah well.
I am impressed that you got a non zero result with an input of zero for RWY length.

Not necessarily procedure trainer … managing a combat mission is also dealing (and assessing) with equipment failure … could be a simple light, or indicator, to the radar, or even a dubious engine … … this is a big part of the real life also, we do not have always a 100% perfect functioning a/c!

well DJ, I look forward to the day that falcon has to deal with that kind of thing!

POP UP procedure - WDP and UI switchery
Have been using WDP to set up POP UP deliveries on a mission lately, but am worried that I’m possibly going about things the long way or indeed the wrong way. Could someone take a look at the following steps to see if I’m doing things correctly (have just covered items relevant to setting up the POP UP profile and am ignoring things like best attack heading etc. for the moment)…
1. Load up mission in UI
2. Assign Precision Steerpoints to the target and to a suitable IP point.
3. Open DTC in the UI and SAVE.
4. Open WDP and relevant mission.
5. Click on YES (steerpoints etc. in DTC)
6. Set up POPUP parameters (VIP in this case) and note VIP to PUP heading in particular.
7. SAVE DTC in WDP
8. Open Falcon UI again
9. LOAD DTC.
10. Adjust track of route to IP to better align with VIP to PUP heading obtained from WDP
11. SAVE DTC
12. SAVE mission
13. FLY – load DTEIf I want to fly the mission again, then presumably everything should now be saved in the various .ini files and all I need to do is LOAD the DTC when in the UI?

Not a bad way at all. However, you can also set the precision STPT in WDP itself.
No need to save the DTC at point 11The Popup values are saved in your Callsign.ini and not the TE.ini.
So depending if you change or delete the PopUp values, you will see them again the next flight.Gr Falcas

I have been unable to find any info about the Target Page. Please point me to the right place to find out how to use this page.
Thanks in advance.

I’m sorry to be so dumb Falcas, but I still don’t see any explanation that I understand. Do you have any info in one of your videos? I don’t see it.

Hey Falcas,
I saw a small mistake in the performances tab. The danish F-16’s are still flying with the PW-200 engine. Now I don’t know if it is like that in BMS …
-
with Aegean i have hard time switching side when loading a mission. Once I chose blue it stayed there forever. To switch to red I had to change theater, faced some map error messages, then switch back to Aegean, get another error about the map, then load the mission and now it shows the window to choose blue or red.
Same thing every time.
Tested 3 times so far.
Running 3.5.0 -

Not much to explain…
Create the list by selecting your targets.
Go to the Datacard and save the Datacard (not the DTC)
Print out your list or put it on you tablet.
For the rest, start to read at post 674-680.Gr Falcas

Flying in the Falcon Online Battle for Sinai server I can not import data for missions I create to the mission data card. Returns an error message. Uploads DTC with no problems, tho. Is the obstacle with me or with WDP?
