Saitek X-52 Profile
-
Hi all,
This issue has been posted here already but i am going to give this one shot before I opt to do something else. I installed this according to instructions and the profile works great until I plug my TH MFD’s in. DXDIAG reports the following.
Saitek X52 Controller 0
MFD1 Controller 3
MFD2 Controller 4
In BMS
MFD1 buttons 1-28 of 32
MFD2 33-60 of 32 (64)
X52 65 and up
Is there a way to fix this? If I do fix this. Will I have to redo it again when I get my peddles or should I just redo my Saitek profile. I love the way this is done but if I am going to have to do a bunch of configuration to it i will just do a profile for it. At least when I get my peddles I won’t have to redo it again. Can the sim be configured somewhere to put the correct id’s in? It apparently doesn’t get the info from direct x or it would be correct. -
Got it sorted.

At the end of the keyfile there the DX button assignments. Because my MFD’s are taking 0 and 1 for controller ID assignments my X52 is 3 My DX buttons start at 64 not 0 for the hotas. The first command at the end of the keyfile is for the first trigger detent and it has an assignment for button 0( 1 in BMS) so I changed it to 64. It would look like this…
SimTriggerFirstDetent 0 8 -2 0 0x0 0 Original entry at the end of the keyfile
SimTriggerFirstDetent 64 8 -2 0 0x0 0 New entryDo this in sequence for all 32 buttons that follow… For the shifted buttons they start at 257 so I had to add 64 to those to be assigned in DX correctly…so 257 becomes 321 and once again in sequence go up.
SimEmergencyJettison 257 8 -2 0 0x0 0
SimEmergencyJettison 321 8 -2 0 0x0 0

Can you point me in the direction of where to change my axis curves for my x52pro?
-
hi
i follow the guide exactly as describe but radar cursor only working to the upper right.
there isnt any problem with my x52 microstick -
•With these keyfiles, Radar Cursor control is mapped to the default keys, which are F8 (up), F9 (down), F10 (left), and F11 (right).
•This may unfortunately cause conflict with your TrackIR keys. Simply remap your TrackIR keys, if needed.Cheers!

Has anybody transformed this profile into an X52 PRO one? I could really use it.
Thanks!

MikeSo, i disable trackir program and run bms .
this time none of the radar cursor were moving and also i notice that not all buttons do something and some buttons has the same funcions in other modes or with pinckyswitch …
ideas? -
Sounds like your profiles are confused…has happened to me before. Reload the profile for saitek, start bms and reload the profile there. Check your throttle, and all other axis settings and save. should be good to go.
Cheers!

Hi Svend!
Did you do this:
To access the shifted functions, you’ll need to add the following two lines :
set g_nHotasPinkyShiftMagnitude 256
set g_nHotasShiftQuickPressTimeLimit 500to falcon bms.cfg in \Falcon BMS\User\Config using wordpad/other.
If you do this it will work!
Keep us posted and let me know if we can help.
Regards!

Hi Mate,
Thx alot for reply. Yes mate did eveything in post 1 to the letter - the line was copy to the “F4Patch Settings” section at the top (just checked it and it`s there). Should I keybind the pinky in the controll obtions to HOTAS Pinky Switch?, because I did.
All non shift commands on joystick are working, but as sune I activate the pinky (only pinky), my left MFD change to EXP view (Obs3 plashing) if soi and same goes for right MFD (HSD) if it is soi it goes to EXP mode, hmm
Any idea?
Kind regards

Hi mate
Strange indeed. Icheck my own cfg file and turns out that my “set g_nHotasPinkyShiftMagnitude 256” is placed under MISC SETTINGS and I don’t even have “set g_nHotasShiftQuickPressTimeLimit 500” on tge CFG file and everythings works
Even so what’s strange is that MFD change of yours when your press the pinky…
Besides loading the profile on the saitek software, did you copy the KEY files ?
Drop the files named BMS Saitek X-52.key, axismapping.dat, and joystick.cal in to your \Falcon BMS\User\Config folder.
You could also try unbinding the pinky, recopy the files as above and load the profile.
Let me know how it turned out!

Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’ve loaded the x-52 profile, and I can confirm via the controller I’m using “Falcon BMS X-52”. Also using TrackIR.
I go to bring up the TE AIM-120, for a little practice with that missile. My first target is the MiG-29. Bring up the FCR, and then TWS. Within about 17 miles, I can get TMS-UP lock, (after selecting it a few times). I can fire off the first AIM-120 just fine. I then head over to the MiG-25, which is about 20 miles out. I select TMS-right, and sometimes I can get a lock. But once I fire another AIM-120, it launches out for a 1/2 mile, and then starts to head over to the MiG-29 that I first engaged. This has happened everytime.
On other flights, in this AIM-120 TE, I’ve waited for the first MiG-29 to be confirmed killed, then head over to the MiG-25. I go through having my FCR in TWS, and once I’m within 20 miles or less, I try the TMS-UP, and can never get a lock. No matter how hard I try, clicking the POV2 up, to try and TMS-UP, nothing!
I’m using the keyboard map that Kes also included. And the keyboard show nothing set for the TMS’s via the keyboard. I can confirm also in the setup, that I get TMS-UP when I click on the POV2 up, and TMS-Right, when I click on the POV2 right.
This whole TMS up is really frustrating. No matter how much I try, in other flights (like the campaign), it’s so hard for it to work. not sure what I’m doing wrong.
everything else on this profile & keyboard mapping works as advertised. It’s just this d*mned TMS (up/right) giving me fits. If I click TMS down, and see the FCR go to RWS… Once I engage the first target with TMS UP, and never engage any others through the remainder of the flight. No TMS right, No TMS up, (when I see a second target)… Nothing…
any suggestions?
TIA,
-jav
as a ps. I’ve seen this question come up, with regards to the TMS. I’m currently seeing around 48FPS in the AIM-120 TE.

Hi GuGas,
I just vent through the whole setup again - all fils replaced with and without the “set g_nHotasPinkyShiftMagnitude 256” and “set g_nHotasShiftQuickPressTimeLimit 500” in cfg and tested with only one of these and then with every combination. Then I tested without binding the pinky, which was no go (pinky no function). I then binded the pinky ingame and guess what - when activating the pinky my MFD goes in EXP Mode, no change.
When i activate my pinky again it goes to “Norm Mode”. Can some one tell me, why do my pinky activate my OBS 3 on the MFD
s when it
s assinged ingame as HOTAS Pinky - my SST profil is loaded. This beats me
Kind regards
SvendEDIT: When right clicking in profile editor the pinkie swicht is set to fall back is this correct?
