Hi guys.
Well the new IAP chart for Taszar airbase in Hungary is ready.
Below you can see a preview of the IAP chart that it is a pdf file and opens with adobe reader 7.0 and later:
You can download this chart as also all the 15 previous and the util to convert the FT/NM to degrees and vice versa from the 1st post of this thread!
Don’t forget the clarification at post #7.
That means for Taszar airbase prefer to use the unique VHF frequency of 123.00 and NOT the UHF one of 230.15.The IAP chart for Taszar airbase is dedicated to my Hungarian friends: axenet, arrow19, molnibalage, Speedbreaker-st, Razor18, joedestroy, z0tya79, L_Viper.
If you want to ask something about the procedures, something that you don’t understand, please feel free to do that. My pleasure to help you.
I hope to enjoy all these charts for nice Balkans theater. With my best regards,
Nikos Efstratiou. -

Hi Nikos,
great chart, thanks again on behalf of the small “hungarian pack”, needs just a bit of correction for reality’s sake. The upper right corner (names) reads now:
"TASZAR (LHTA)
KALAND/HUNGARYwould be better this way:
“Taszar (LHTA/Kaland)
Taszar, Hungary”Kaland means simply “adventure” in hungarian, and was just a kind of codename for Taszar AB in the “russian times”. Kecskemet was “Titan”, and all other military bases had such codenames, like “Opera”, “Bengal”, “Amper” and so on. But if you write it in front of “Hungary”, it looks like it would be a name of a city in Hungary which it is not. So if it’s not a big effort, would be nice to change it.
Thanks a million again.

Hi my friend.
Well the chart has perfect data and be based to a real one that USAF used at 2003!
Just see below the real one to see that is EXACTLY as my IAP chart:
So if you have any official chart later than this one that said as you say, post it and i will make the update that you mentioned.
I always base my work to real stuff, after a very well search and study. Keep that in mind mate.
Also keep in mind that the format is standard:
Airport name (ICAO ID)
Nearest city, Country
So i don’t want my chart to has not the default one style.
I’m not in the position to know for which reason is there the name “Kaland”, but i know that this was the official chart and is much better to follow it instead of a “i think”. Maybe you get my point, don’t you?

Nikos,
Razor was right, KALAND has been a codename for this airfield in the Warsav pact era. If you wanna be authentic and correct by ICAO as well, then the closest city is TASZAR.
Great job with the charts!

Hi my friend.
Thank you for your kindly words.
About the name of the nearest city, i have already explained that here: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?12435-Balkans-Theatre-IAP-charts&p=216343&viewfull=1#post216343
I know that the nearest city is Taszar, but i have no other real chart to be shown that.
If you have, please send it to me and then i will correct the name of the city.

Hi guys.
I have made 2 corrections to IAP chart for Taszar airbase in Hungary in Balkans theater:- Corrected the word “IAF” to “FAF” at R-349/6 DME.
- Changed the word “Kaland” to “Taszar” for nearest city.
Below you can see a preview of the new IAP chart:

Nikos.First a fall thanks for correcting the name of the city. It is now perfect.
Don’t take us wrong, your chart is great, and I understand that your were doing your best from what you could work from…
What we are suggesting is to make it even more perfect! Finally the reason why you couldn’t find a better source is the same reason why I can’t give you any, that is because Taszar AB has been closed down…Thx again!

Hi,
Don’t know if this was reported yet but when flying a MP strike out of Brindisi yesterday we’ve noticed 2 small mistakes on SID ORSOM departure chart.
I’m refering to the charts downloaded at http://www.combatsimchecklist.net/F4balkancharts.htm so myabe the fault was already corrected but the download file in that website is still outdated. On the ORSOM 6D departure from RWY 19 it says turn RIGHT to heading 090° to intercept R-125° outbound Brindisi tacan. If I’m not looking crosseyed, that should be a LEFT turn, no?
Also, ORSOM 6A from RWY 33 states left climb turn to heading 350°, but if I look on that is not a 350° heading at all, more like a 130 or something?
