Krause's BMS 4.32 Tutorials

PS: One exception…I recommend checking this for an alternative and easy way of landing the F-16 (good weather, no ILS) and be automatically on the correct AOA, pitch and speed values…pics in that doc pretty much tell all you need to know once you understood the basics of the shown symbology.

Can you post a download link, please?

Thank you very much, tyrspawn for the tuts.
Man, call me lazy but IMHO this is the best approach for learning BMS (and any other possible subject you could come up with): visual crash course to constitute a general overall frame upon to start building details from documentation. Now, I’ll figure the docs out at the first glance w/o the need to re-read it 3-4 times (it could only work for me – I may be dumb). Think of it as interlaced vs. progressive image rendering.

Thank you Chappy, I didn’t see your post first time. -
Thanks for these tutorials. Great addition to reading the manuals.

Nice Job Krause ! Thanks

It’s great you have started to make BMS videos again.
Reading this thread on High Altitude Dive Bombing helped me realise how little I used Weapon Delivery Planner.
But when I came to plan an attack I found I wasn’t sure (or had forgotten) how to select the right attack profile/loadouts so looked for a nice youtube video to remind me.
The best I could find that started from the basics (i.e. what is VRP, PUP, OA, etc.) was an old
.Your
and video’s are great but IIRC don’t cover WPD, VRP, etc. as the focus was on “what/how do I use CCIP”, etc.I know similar questions have been asked before but found the WDP Videos were focused on using WDP and rather assumed you already knew what VRP, etc. was (i.e. had been using the ICP to enter them in, etc.) and didn’t cover my basic what, where, when type questions.
I was thinking a video/TE like this
that used WDP might be interesting and educational. Mentioning when to select profile 1/2 and high/low drag munitions would be good too but I’ve a feeling “correct ordinance/loadouts” would make a video in it’s own right (cue lots of boring talk/loadout screen followed by a clip of exploding munitions or someone running out of fuel lol).Of course if there’s already a good BMS video out there or a good section in a .pdf to re-read - a quick pointer would be good as well.
Edit: I didn’t find a video but Fracas covers the planning and execution basics I’d forgotten in his WDP 2.0 Manual from page 31 on.
Edit 2: And the most basic error I’d made - WDP was defaulting to a callsign (alias) other than the one I was flying. So TE.ini stuff like STPT, Lines, etc. was working but the Callsign.ini stuff like the HUD display of VRP, PUP, etc. wasn’t. I wondered why I’d lost my favourite MFD and EWS settings but hadn’t picked up on it Doh!!

Ramsay:
Thanks for the feedback. I had thought about making some new tutorials or remaking old ones but there just isn’t ademand or viewership for them considering the time investment required. Crappy videos of me flying the campaign used to net 2000+ views, now my editing quality is professional and I rarely get a 1/4th of the views I used to get. I’m not a views whore but i’m not going to spend hundreds of hours on something if it’s not going to be viewed by more than a handful of people.
One tutorial I really want to do, and something that is on my thoughts, is a video tutorial on planning/organizing packages. Few people can do that succesfully, even experienced fliers, and i’m always the one doing it inmy squadron or if i’m a visitor on another server. It’s pretty easy and I would like to show people how.

Surprising, your BMS tutorials are saved to my HD just like

Probably diluted by the ever increasing number of BMS videos and the fact BMS isn’t new anymore.
I guess using WDP/attack profiles would be an intermediate level tutorial (not essential knowledge like CCIP, etc.) and would have lower views.

Definitely make the videos you want/are interested in. A FRAPs capture and commentary explaining what you are doing and why as you plan packages sounds good. If it goes wrong - the plan will be used anyway and you can try again in another session.
I enjoyed your
and hopefully you didn’t waste to much HD space/time encoding them and adding captions, etc. So please don’t feel you have to do a professional quality video for it to be appreciated (they all are). -
Interesting coincidence.
Like Ramsay, I saw the same video about the HADB delivery yesterday and had no clue about the HUD symbology and procedure - so essentially no idea what was going on. Then I started digging through the first pages of the WDP manual, eventually tried my first lausy attempts on flying pre-planned attack profiles, and suddenly said to myself: ‘wouldn’t it be great to have a tutorial vid covering all this? A video that is as much informative as the tutorials Krause did?’@Krause
So I totally support Ramsay here. I watched and enjoyed all your tutorials and they greatly helped me going through the transition from the bloddy nugget state to, well let’s face it, the less-bloddy nugget state . And I am thankful for that and would also highly appreciate new videos!
Yes, viewer numbers might have dropped but, like what Ramsay addressed, there are tons of videos - but most of them show straight campaign play and are basically made for entertainment (something beginners cannot enjoy due to lack of skill and understanding, and something a hard-core regular doesn’t notice due to the level of experience). Nevertheless, there are hundreds of (potential) new players entering the scence every month, trying to give the sim a shot. Most of these people got stuck with BMS, went through all the basics - but require guidance when it comes to more advanced stuff which is not covered in every second forum thread (note, that not all BMS simmers are registered in this or any other Falocn-related forum) or even manual. Those people will surely appreciate the efforts! That’s it from my side.Cheers,

Yay!
I finally figured out how to host IVC after watching your tutorial. Could have been a little more clear that it’s the internal IP that you connect to as the host, but I figured it out, so good enough!
Thanks!:)

Thank you very much for sharing… excellent!

Great work, I learned a lot while watching all of your tutorials!!

Your work with these videos is wonderful, i wish to have the time to see them all!!

Wonderful videos. One question, I know JDAM are not 100% functional but do you have a tutorial for them?

They are just regular bombs that are extremely accurate in CCRP, they will land within a few meters of the target. They are ideal for high precision strikes when you don’t have the luxury of loitering/lazing with a targeting pod due to threats.

So should I use them with regular CCRP mode?

Thanks for sharing!!! Great video’s for newbies like me!

These tuts are great, is it possible to download the whole package (including all advanced tuts etc) and save them on my hd for future reference?
Many thanks.
