Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
-
VS TOUCHTAB Android 4.1.1
incidentally I have found no deed to activate anything in bms display extraction (despite the author describing the need) just as is not required for the MFDE tool. They only require the setting changed in falcon bms.cfg
One problem I DO have is that any attempt to load a key file crashes the app

Hi,
I tried the software but I can’t have the MFD, ICP and RWR rendered to my tablet.
I’m flying Falcon BMS 4.34 upd.7 on WIndows 7 Ultimate and I use a Samsumg 10.1 Tablet (GT-P7510) running Android 4.0.4.
I enabled ‘set g_bExportRTTTextures 1’ in falcon_bms.cfg, ran the ‘Cockpit display extraction’ to check that the ‘main’, ‘MFD’, ‘RWR’ and DED’ are enabled as suggested in a preceding post in this thread, but still I have non image extraction.
The OSD buttons and the flight data update are working, I also turned off the windows firewall.
Can anybody give me some help?
I think this software can be extremely useful to the falcon community and it is also well done, but maybe also the buttons on the server part should be translated to english otherwise it can be very confusing, I’m not an english speaking user but being Falcon an international comunity I think that english should be the main language for all related utilities.
Also the server O.S. version should be saved to the configuration, I have to check it every time I start the server.
Thank you and my compliments for the applicationGianluca Ghelli
I have the exact tablet as yours with the exact same issue. I am still trying to figure out a solution. By the way, I tried it on a Kindle Fire as well with the same issue.

and press “Start Reading Mem.” if you see falcon mfd screen shoots in box on you server.exethere is a problem on your tablet.
I am not sure but the solution can be “root of tablet”

The new download link is a RAR and gave me a complete Falcon mfd server folder. Running from this folder I have no problem selecting a keyfile and everything is fine. If I
install
the program I continue to get the crash when attempt keyfile load.
So I will just run from the folderThanks again.

All is working fine, but the MFD image in the tablet is not appearing. the osb buttons owrk, the f
chaff/flare numbers is appearing, but not the mfd images on tablet.what i’m doing wrong?
for the server, there’s an english version of it? what is the latest versions?
I have the same issue. My Samsung Galaxy 2 Tab 10.1 is rooted as well. The MFD buttons work but I do not have any images. The screenshot feature doesn’t work either. I’ve tried to “reset” the MFDs by clicking on RWR and ICP and then clicking back to the left and right MFDs. Whatever I try, I just can’t seem the get the MFDs to show. I also have the MFD, HUD, and DED enabled in the BMS extraction feature. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. At least the MFD buttons work because that was the feature that I was looking for. Overall a great product.
Edit: By the way, when I click on “Start Reading Falcon MFD”, I get a CTD every time. I’ve tried this on my main computer and on my laptop. It always crashes. I’m not sure if this has something to do with the MFD pictures not showing up. I’m running the program as administrator.

I have the same exact tablet with the exact same problem. Good to know that rooting will not fix the issue as well. I am currently using it just for the OSB buttons at the moment until a fix is found.

did you follow Step 1Step 1 : To take screen shoot from computer to tablet, Please open file (…\Falcon BMS 4.32\User\Config\falcon bms.cfg) falcon bms.cfg with notepad or like program. Find set g_bExportRTTTextures 0 and change as set g_bExportRTTTextures 1.

So is your server program working or not ?
it should be work.Yes, the server program works fine. The only problem is that the MFD pictures and screenshots don’t show up. If I leave everything alone, I can at least push the MFD buttons and receive flight data. Once I click on “Start Reading Falcon MFD” though, the server program crashes to desktop every time. If I don’t click “Start Reading Falcon MFD”, then the server program does not crash.

It seems I’m having the same issue that several others in this thread are reporting: I’ve followed all the steps, and the buttons and flight data work, but I don’t get the images from the MFDs. For what it’s worth, I can get the test image, but not images from BMS itself. I’ve got a 10" Acer A200 tablet running Android 4.0.3, not rooted. I’ve gone into my firewall configuration to always allow A:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Launcher.exe, A:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Bin\x86\Display Extraction.exe and A:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Bin\x86\Falcon BMS.exe, just in case firewall permissions might have been the problem. No luck. It may be that display extraction from the MFDs to the tablet just might not work with the tablets those of us who are having trouble are using, but I’d really like to figure out a solution.
-
Its just too simple a solution to actually be the case BUT, I seem to remember that I also received the test image without doing anything else. BUT I needed to click the left/right mfd tabs in the app once it was all running in order for the actual game data to be displayed. I was initially frustrated by lack of image also but its fine now. 1st run also popped up windows firewall requester box to give permissions. I suppose if it did not then it would be a sign of no proper communication going on.
-
Do you remember which programs you had to grant permission to in order for everything to work? Were there any other than the ones that I granted full permission to?
-
ColbaltUK - Just to be clear, you were you able bring the image up on the app?
-
Well, maybe this is the sort of thing that only happens to me, but mine just started working when I tried it again just now. I didn’t really do anything differently (at least not that I could tell); the only thing I did was reset my router, although I have no idea why that had any effect. But now I am getting the image from the cockpit MFD in the MFDs on the Android app. Whatever I did differently this time from what I’d been doing before, I hope I can figure it out again! OK, time to see if I can get DWVAC and FaceTrackNoIR working. I’ll report back here if I have any more questions, or if I can figure out what I did differently to get the MFD images to show up in-app.
