Carrier ILS frequencies?
-
It says in the changelog that they’re in, but I can’t find them anywhere. I’ve checked everywhere I can think of.
-
Curious as well if ILS now functional?
-
All carriers have same ils
I am not home so cant check but look in tacan+ils file in your install
-
yes it is functional, just in case change log is not enough

What file is that? I can’t seem to find it in my install.
Disregard, I found it. it’s stations+ils.dat

Yup frequency is 111.1

Okay so we should go with change log over manual? Pg 108 of 4.33.1 BMS Manual says “Be aware that ILS does not work with the carrier; due to an airbase code limitation, the axis and threshold of the ILS would actually be those of the catapults.” Is this not correct?

I believe Mav already answered your question quite clearly sir.
-
for fxxx sake just try it. it works fine

LOL…anyhow I see the Hornet FM is improved, less departure prone so thanks brother.
-
Is the current implementation representative of the ICLS or the ACLS needles? Big difference between the two systems as far as glideslope accuracy goes.
-
Dont think you ever see ACLS modeled in BMS…would be nice though.

i need to write an article.
flcs is not finished but in 4.33.1 you got accurate flaps auto (équivalent cruise gains) flcs with accurate Glimiter (depending on speed and GW) including accurate glimiter override , accurate AoA limiter, accurate lef and tef behavior, accurate roll rate behavior….
-
What I don’t think will ever be modeled is coupling to ACLS. I suspect the implementation of the needles however is more like ACLS in that they are perfectly accurate and will keep you on the ball in the groove. ICLS needles (which use totally different equipment aboard the ship) are extremely inaccurate inside 1/2 mile which is why they can’t be used to trap, unlike ACLS needles which can be used to trap.

What? Where be that animal? An AI LSO you mean?
Or do you mean the ATC? ATC can get you to the 3/4 mile but that aint an LSO per say.

I heard about that. It remains my single most anticipated feature. If you need help with any of the calls or if their are plans for grading criteria I would be happy to assist. And by assist I mean if you ask questions I’ll go ask my Rhino driver friend and report his answers back to you
