Can you tell me if you have managed to script the autopilot switch to stay in sync now that the new update as been released for Helios.
I can manage to sync it to either Pitch ALT HOLD or to Pitch ATT HOLD but not to both at once.I think we need a little tweak to the LUA script because it is a three position switch not just two as in the handbrake!!!
Regards weepopGot it (almost) working.
Use the following LUA-code for the right AP-switch:
if (TriggerValue == false) then return 2; end
The āalmostā is referred to the situation when you are currently out of the parameters to engage the AP, but you engage it anyway: The switch then changes nevertheless to position 1 or 3.

Hi ICE,
Wow, compliments for your virtual pit! Looks fantastic!!!
As a newbie flightsimmer I have my own very little (compaired to yoursā¦) W.I.P. project and thatās the iViper for iPAD that was posted here on the forum.
I came across this great thread with all your (even better) looking graphics. I wonder if I can use your MFD, ICP, RWR and DED graphics in my own setup. Iām using the TouchControl app for iOS i.c.m. the TouchControlServer in my Windows 8 PROx64 bootcamp setup. Great application to start with the ābuild your own virtual pit!ā Before posting and asking questions while WIP I think itās common sense to ask your permission first!
Hope youāll agree for me to use your graphics. That would be awesome!Cheers and have a great TweakEnd! :drink:

Hi Ice,
Completed my iViper āprojectā and now moving on to Helios!
Love your panel profile. Thanks for sharing!
[EDIT] going thru all related posts and -Iceās videoās I managed to get back āin the airā!
[but it keeps crashing on me in Helios 1.3.190 stable version. What are the before-open-profile requirements / settings for Helios? It seems there is an issue with monitor config. Before opening your profile I set my config to my own 4 monitor setup of with one is a virtual one. I set my TS to monitor 3.
Hope you can help me out with this!
Replies appreciated.] -
Sorry for the late reply, busy RL.
The graphics for the MFD, ICP, RWR and DED are not my own but rather from MFDE or BMS extraction. I had an old project as well using TouchControl and it was called iFlyBMS. However, Iāve since gone back to Helios and purchased a touchscreen. I have a 2nd profile set up that is a bit better laid out but is not ready for the public yetā¦ and at this rate, might not be for a good while. PM me if you want to try it out, but for now, my first profile is a bit more ācomplete.ā
As for crashing, Iāve been told of problems with my profile and 1.3. Try getting 1.2 version of Helios and it should run okay with that. I suspect this is simply an incompatible version issue.
Hope that helps!

Hi -Ice,
No problem, I understand. Thanks very much for reading and your time to reply!
After re-installing Helios 1.3.190 and some newbie trial-and-error, your profile is working fine now. Had some trouble configuring MFD Extractor V0.5.7.0, but after installing and using it in Windows 7 compt-mode it works oke now. Really excited about using this.
Have a lot of learning an practicing to do, so for now Iāll stick to this profile. I surely hope to be able to try/download your finished new version of your profile in the near future.
Cheers.

I just tried the new version of Helios and my profile, both worked with no problems and BMS was fine. So if anyone is having problems using my profile with the newest version of Helios, try downloading a fresh copy of my profile.
Thanks!

Hello weepop!
Iāve not realized I could drag the MFDE gauges around by touch, always used the mouse, lol! Tried this out and it did move, but as Iāve never had this āproblemā before, I donāt have a āfixā for this. However, I wonder why you are swiping over your MFDE outputs? Perhaps a different design layout would be better? As you can see in my profile, my switches are āseparatedā by putting them on a āpanel background.ā
As for the chart output, someone in the Helios forums did make a suggestion, kinda like a āscriptā that closes down all open images before opening the one you selected, but Iāve not tried it out yetā¦. so technically should be possible I guess but not 100% sure.
Hey Ice,
If I wanted to view the different departure charts or approach charts, then how would i do that using your profile. All I can get to come up is the initial airport diagram. I think that your profile is great and that would be my only question because as I stated I can pull up the diagrams of the airports but nothing else. Any suggestions

First, I want to thank Ice for providing the Helios profile that enabled me to enjoy Helios with my new touchscreen monitor. I am on to the next stage of learning Helios by trying to figure out how to add airport charts, frequencies, etc for theaters other than Korea. If anyone knows how Ice did this in his profile for Korea, I would appreciate an explanation of āhow toā so that I can do it for Israel, Balkans and the like.

I have been using your HELIOS profile for several weeks and want to thank you for such an excellent profile. I have watched your video tutorials and still cannot understand how you cause a button to display a hidden panel when the hidden panel is NOT one of the panels that appear on the left side of the Helios editor. For example, how did you get the CHART button to display a series of AIRFIELD buttons and then have a particular airfield show up when the button with its particular name is pressedā¦a button within a button within a button.
Thanks -
does this work for android?
Could I run the MFD`s on my android (nexus 7) and have the TGP,FCR etc etc all so show along with the OSB buttons

THXS Ice for a great profile by the way im runing Helios and your profile on second PC and with Gigurra software i can export MFDs, RWR and DED but does anybody knows how to extract the rest of the instruments needed for this profile to work a second PC
-
Thanks Ice for a great profile, and an excellent Helios tutorial! I am running your profile without adjustments, except for my HOTAS DX setup in the keyfile. At rampstart; everything seems to work out fine, except that at one point I get a flashing WARN across my HUD and a flcs warning light at the right elbow. F-ACK however shows all systems ok. This does not happening if I rampstart without Helios. I canāt seem to find out what is happeningā¦ anybody an idea?
-
ICE, thanks for the great profile
Wampire, u can extract the rest of the instruments with MFDE Extractor.
Link to download MFDE:
http://www.weapondeliveryplanner.nl/files/MFDE/Falcon_MFD_Extractor_v0_5_7_0__x86.zip
Rightclick on icon in systems tray on TX PC, options available to extract lots of stuff. -
Thxs buddy, manage to solve the problem after i wrote a question now next is to build helios for
dcs on a second computer -
OMGā¦
I have spent half my day messing with this, and I think I have it working correctly now. To save others my troubles, here are my discoveries.
HELIOS would insta-crash when I launched this profile. What eventually made it stop crashing was removing the following section from the .hpf file using notepad:
<interface typeidentifier=āHelios.EOS.DirectSerialā name=āEOSBus (Direct Serial)ā><port>COM1</port>
<boards></boards></interface>I donāt have this serial adapter so I guess the lack of it freaked out the software. I removed the sections pertaining to the saitek pedals and an F-16 MFD DirectX device while I was at it.
But then it still didnāt work, switches wonāt flip in-game when done in HELIOS.
I have my BMS install in a non-standard location, so I figured that the path to the keyfile was wrong. Sure enough, itās referenced:
<keyfile>C:\Games\Falcon BMS 4.32\User\Config\Iceās BMS WH Profile v3.key</keyfile>
I changed it to match my install path, should work, right? Nope!
Eventually I realized the problemā¦ the included path references āIceās BMS WH Profile v3.keyā, but the supplied keyfile is called āIces BMS WH Profile v3.keyā, note the lack of apostropheā¦
Fixed that and now itās good to go!
Ice, thanks for your great work on this profile, it looks really good. You might want to change the file name and/or path, and include a line in your instructions about how to modify the Falcon install path in the file, since finding the Falcon config section in Helios after loading a profile is a bit counter-intuitive even after watching your videos. Editing a text file is easy

LIOS would insta-crash when I launched this profile. What eventually made it stop crashing was removing the following section from the .hpf file using notepad:
<interface typeidentifier=āHelios.EOS.DirectSerialā name=āEOSBus (Direct Serial)ā><port>COM1</port>
<boards></boards></interface>Gearbox see post 51. would have saved you some time !!!

Doh. I read the whole thread before and somehow that part didnāt stick in my brain.
I also ended up chasing a Windows Aero theme thing for a whileā¦ Helios pops a warning when you launch it if Aero is off that you might have worse framerates and such. I must have been chasing the Aero problem for an hour before I figured out that it had been disabled by either logmeinās mirror driver or displaylink drivers (I uninstalled both of them at once, bad troubleshooting but I was getting impatient)

Gday guys, I am having a few issues in game. I have built my own helios pit in BMS using Iceās profile in game, however I am unable to bind ECM on/off, even the key strokes in game dont work. Is there a way to change the key strokes for this? is anyone experiencing the same problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.
