Custom modded folder for Aegean Theater

Cobra00 i’ve run the original campaign that came with Aegean 1.1 for several hours (it starts 03:00 1st day) till 14:30 and i noticed that the game creates about 8-9 flights and then when all those are rtb creates the new ones so that is 8-9 flights lets say every 2 hours? maybe 3? ANd it run very smooth without any CTD or anything so there is a possibilty because the game creates to many flights at once to be the cause for the crash as you mentioned. Is it possible for you to edit the campaign like that and send us a new version for test? Also it will be nice to fix some issues like Airbases names and squadrons (put some f-4’s as well for Greece). Just a suggestion….
I also will try to run the original campaign today with your modded folder to see if it haves any issues and i will post!EDIT: Here is the results i noted down:
Campaign starts at 03:00
1st flight is at 03:35 and last one at 04:35 all the flights are 7
at 04:15 another 7 was created from 05:27 till 06:27
next “group” of flights created at 07:20 with the 1st one at 07:53 till 08:53 also 7 flights in total… i don’t know if this gonna help you but it might say something… again i will write that thats the “original” campaign that came with version 1.1 and this time running with your modded folder… -
I did some research in the campaign files with Mission Commander program and it seems that the problem exists in the ground units. I made an experiment keeping the original files but deleting all ground units and leaving only flights… I started a campaign and till 15:30 (game time) of the first day no crash with full program and random tasking normally, i starting to work on the files from cobra and i will try to be more realistic about the order of battle might use block 52+ w.o. cfts as 50’s or (if you have janhas skins or models (anyone of you) i will use the AGR model as a block 50 or if someone has another idea i’m willing to hear it. And off course some bases that downt exist on the map i will use the closest ones (tripoli for example and not andravida). Therefore its gona take me some time to see what to do with the ground units. and how to place them and program them but im willing to give it a try. So anyone wants to help i’m here…

It’s not totally correct, but ATM it stops the CTD.

Those numbers - statements require in depth knowledge of the Falcon Campaign engine and Data.

Also the Campaign section in the PMC forum to get an idea.Objective ID is database id number. Campaign ID is the ID used by the campaign engine… So u can have 1000 objectives but for the campaign use 500 let’s say.
U can use Terrain editor and open Objective LAB window and from there the campaign file or te_new.tac which is the starting point to create a campaign file IIRC.
Also we have a dev’s team in e-HAF 320VFW where we can talk about those things in Greek which is our mother language… :lol:

No. The “O” stands for Other, meaning IF either/or is controlled. If it had the variable “A”, that means All are controlled.
How could Objectives be offensive?? :rolleyes:

well it is data objective not buildings or town objective…

Also team x is the offensive team… if there is no offense then there is no war… At least from what I read in the forum this is what they said about the O in this statement.

Sorry but you are incorrect.
And How do you know that team 6(or as you stated, team x) is on the offense just by looking at a static trigger file statement.
You need to read up on the trigger file tutorial which is readily available here at BMS. And learn what different trigger file statement/arguments/variables equate to.

well at the 8th search results page I gave up. I couldn’t find in this forum any trigger file tutorial…
What I have found are info in PMC forum. There is no clear statement that O is for offensive in the WIKI but they talk about making units - teams offensive in the TRI in the forum threads… So it’s a bit of logical assumption…
Maybe I’m wrong… but what does O=Other as u say mean?
And where is that detailed tutorial u r talking about in this forum… In the past I started a thread about Campaigns and asked ppl to start a guide and share info and tips but responses and participation was a few… Molni IIRC posted some (very few) things.

First u say that O stands for IF when there is an IF statement in the beginning so it’s an IF inside an IF statement? And if so… IF needs some arguments afterwards I don’t see any here…and then u say if it was A it would mean ALL r controlled… then when O = some are controlled the others do what??? wait for the tram to pass? :lol: and how are defined those “some”? and where?

True if the team controls the list of objectives. With type of ‘A’ it must own all the objectives in the list, else Type ‘O’ it must own any of them (and/or logic):

I don’t define my Hot List as the “Definitive Source of Knowledge” but just Hot List. Also having that List doesn’t mean I know to last detail everything that is in there and on the threads linked… That is why I build that list… For quick reference and not get lost searching in hundreds of threads in the search results…
Yes I know very few about trigger files… one of the reasons I asked for ppl to contribute on it… so since u seem to know more then me could u please be so kind and start posting and sharing info? Or this is not the case?

As little addition to this thread, here the version I use for Aegean and the pink HUD:
FanOfBMS432’s, tad edited by me as for reflection strength, made after a version he kindly sent me as custom mod :).Shot may or may not have some sort of SweetFX in it, I think it is vanilla.;) Backup etc…

I would like to make a formal request to the authors of this project to change the name of their event (Battle for …) to not create confusion of the authors as all Falcon Online events with the exception of RP6 use the Battle For prefix…
