Facetrack, how make it work?
-
Hi everyone!
I’m trying to use Facetracknoir that I download from the official website. I have a PS3eye and I downloaded a ini file for BMS.
But I can’t use it! It doesn’t track me right. The view is twisted every time.
There is anyone that use it with success this program? -
Plenty of people use it with success.
What was the question again?

I can’t use it. because the program doesn’t track me well. I’ll try to make a quick video so you can see the problem!
P.S. sorry for my bad english! -
I made a quick video. I hope this could explain better my problem!

I finally solve the problem of the bad tracking. And I’m know trying to find a good setup.
Someone who use the program may share his ini file? So I can start with something that works for sure!
Thank you in advance! -
I’ve found that trying to use other people’s .ini files with FTNoIR is useless. You’re just going to have to go in and reset the curves yourself anyway, so it would be a better use of your time to familiarize yourself with these curves and how they work, if you haven’t already done so. Proper settings for FTNoIR have to take into account things like how big your display is, how far away from it you sit, what your FOV in-game is, how big of a dead zone in the middle you like (mine needs to be pretty big because I get motion sickness if my view is too jittery, but other people who don’t have that problem might not like that setup), etc. Just having an .ini file from someone else’s setup will not guarantee that anything will work for sure for you.

ok thank you for your advice! I’ ll try!

So how did you solve your problem?

Trial and error. Setting the axis sensitivity, grasping which axis does what, figuring out which “mode” works best for your situation, finding a good camera position, getting enough light for the camera to see your movements well enough, training your head to stay perfectly still so you don’t create excess movement, …

So how did you solve your problem?
It was a light problem. Because of a window the image was too bright on one side and faceapi couldn’t track my face correctly!
