‘creative juice’ +1
they are still working on the radar, looking for secrets in this song text:

There is a forum still - cant find the URL - never give up as they say

Area 51 payers went to their office and :dhorse:

I remember a posting in another forum, where it said: the first release could be as late as 2011……
-
As long as we’re speculating on old sims in development, whatever happened to 7G and that Falklands sim?

- Jet Thunder. I saw the first images about FO and JT in January of 2005. No comment… Seven-G? It is the same case, never be a full game.

I’m curious about all the time, which results that he say completely unrealistic deadlines?
For example Combat helo.I talked with great programmer.
This game is a job for ~two years to 10 programmers.
Minimum. And CH says "we do this game for ~3 years"two people.TWO.WTF
Cheat themselves, and others.Really not understand this. -

Thanks Migbuster!
Really thought that Seven G was left out to dry. And Thunderworks just recently updated some great pics of naval ships! Great to see these sims still in development! Can’t wait for those. Can’t wait for 4.33 either. I can’t wait!!!

When last time I checked the Fighter Ops forum, I saw some apology words which they are going to close thier forum because of stagnation of development.
And according to the post, once development process advances they will re-open the forum.
There might be some inaccurate information in above words, sry. -

It was nothing but hype’s and ego’s. Nothing fruitful was going to come out of it. Area 51 was nothing more than a scam. They just kept on feeding us B.S. pictures every month.

I felt bad for all the people that paid for area51….poor guys.

I’m really glad to see JT in the dev news again - 7G was up there not too long ago as well. I admit that I’m a little disappointed to hear that JT ditched OpenGL, as that would have led to greater cross-platform capability. I also hope they can live up to the original dream of providing a truly effective dynamic campaign, designed from the ground-up with a wide range of aircraft with vastly different avionics. I’ll totally slap down some cash if and when they release either of those - by the time they do, I also hope I’ve got a computer which can run them.

I had won a competition back then and earned a 1-year free access on the area 51, not bad for hoping something good might come after all sooner or later. But it seems that serious software development in free time with no monthly payment takes years and requires much more free time and effort than any plan can predict. Most valid example is EMF, 10 years now and it is only a theater within a simulator build with professional standards. BTW remember an older theater somewhere around Africa; cannot recall name etc. They had a dedicated site and started very good development, new aft models etc, but later on vanished…
We are all lucky enough to have the benefit of BMS, no words can describe the love, passion, time and effort behind all these…

It was the Angola theater. Indeed promising, but never released.

Speaking from the inside out, what drove me away was the lack of anything being done. Yes, there was pretty pictures, but no real progress. Every week it seemed that everyone rehashed the same thing, over and over again, but doing little to nothing to accomplish any main tasks. It got very frustrating. Pretty pie charts and flow charts are great, but needed to get the main code ready to implement each of the modules it was intended to have. People (good people) started walking away. After I hammered out Cl/Cd, torque moments for some aircrafts, only to find they already had from direct sources pissed me off! Another waist of time! I purchased new fluid dynamics software. The entire DATCOM library and was just about to get a piece of software called PANDA that can create wind tunnel data using NACA/NASA and base formed aero structures to produce all the needed Cl/Cd T, Rt, ect. at all angles and all alpha. That would have set me back $6000+ USD (1 year license). It is an awesome tool and would have accelerated basic aircraft FM construction down to weeks instead of months. Thank God I did not go and do that! I spent hundreds of dollars already on what I had then (not to mention loaning money to other FO members ). I invested a lot of time and money. Walked away because I simply saw where this was going. Nowhere!

Alot of great concepts… alot of great people… intelligent approaches… alot of money… unfortunatly, it never came together. Why? …who knows, blame it on the lack of proper project-realisation or management if that helps afterwards. But it wasn´t a scam… it was just a failure, and that´s sad tbh. Payed (supported) 4 years the A51 …and don´t regret it a second. Why? Because you guys deserved a chance and just cigarattes cost me more a month, so **** it. On the other hand, i don´t think, the A51 contributions really stood in any relation to what some of you guys blew out on cash. Still have all the DevDiaries and A51Vids saved - nostalgic. That “bottom-feeders” bitch about it as “was a scam” or “i knew it would fail” … is just normal… we have heart the same about BMS before, haven´t we?
