a force sensing baseplate with the warthog stick ( it is the F-16 SSC after all), and a throttle with idle and burner detents (preferably lift action like the real thing) and some switches and rotaries on the base. for under $400. please, and thank you.
(will never happen, but a guy can dream)

Hi Raptor,
Should I wait before I buy new HOTAS? :woohoo::rolleyes: -
-
No ETA for the moment. One would need the cougar throttle to add it to this custom base.

so we are talking for an extra part on an existing throttle, right?

I hope will come back soon!! I will buy it in anycase

Only great news if they design and manufacture it PROPERLY this time around. My floppy 2001 Cougar sits in box, replaced by the far more reliable x65f.
What else was available in 2001 that was designed and manufactured to a more modern standard?

Meh… I’ll shut up then!

Slowly the Prices for used Cougars getting higher then for a new Warthog Set….

What makes the Cougar better than the Warthog?

More faithful to F-16 controls.
Ah, I see. Personally, if I was spending the sorts of money involved I’d go for whichever is going to be most reliable and last the longest, even if I do have to sacrifice some realism. I like to fly various sims anyway and I obviously can’t have the right controls for every aircraft, so there’s going to have to be some compromise. Whislt it makes sense to get whichever suits the main aircraft you fly and compromise when flying the other stuff, I’d be nervous about spending so much on a S/H Cougar with no warranty, when I could get a Warthog cheaper and with at least 2 years warranty.
Anyway, hopefully I can work out how to convert my F-16 FLCS to USB with a Teensy board as I can’t afford anything expensive at the moment. I’ll still need a throttle but I might just knock up something with an Arduino board for now.
